I am talking about alcohol. ALOOLOHOL?!

 

But srsly, what is the hardest stuff you can get or what you have ever seen? (Google images do not count ...)

 

 

For me it is "Stroh 80". As the name says, 80%. Tastes disgusting, though.

My friend and me bought one big bottle for our party and ... well it was empty the very same night.

We spent around 300� just for drinks, oooooooops.

 

 

So what's your hardest stuff and, did you already taste it yourself?

Bacardi 151 rum. Absinthe 179 proof. And last, Everclear grain 190 proof. That's my top list. A couple of the places I bounced bars at I had to bartend sometimes if one didn't show up. In some states bouncers have to have bartenders license for some reason. (Yes by day i was mostly in IT work, ie network engineer. BUT at night I bounced strip bars all  over the US depending on where I lived. I spent 17 years in the martial arts after 'Nam.  Good money and fun.) :thumbsup:

95%. If you make jungle juice with it, it can be aight, but really it's pretty nasty stuff. Not even the most cost effective form of getting drunk.

At a wedding I once had homemade moonshine made from horse-feed. I dunno the exact alcohol %, but it was prolly somewhere on par with Everclear.
Anyways, I took a shot, and almost immediately barfed. Everything about it was just a bad idea.

I have literally only ever bought Everclear to make herbal extracts and do some 'amateur' chemistry. I dunno why anyone would bother drinking it. Surprisingly, it's not even that expensive, so I guess I answered my own question there.

Most alcoholic thing I've bought for myself to actually drink and (mostly) enjoy, is the aforementioned 180 proof absinthe. Great for Halloween & Xmas. Chartreuse is similar, though, but tastes better (And is less bad for your liver).

And if you're drinking absinthe properly you're going to water it down anyway

Can't remember well the label of that bottle... it was long time ago in Mallorca, we were windsurfing up until we were starving... BTW, a guy got attacked by a shark the day after on those same waters... fuzzy bunny happens.. :\

The drink was distilled somewhere in northen Germany, IIRC, it was 70� or so. Plus an extra touch of spicy condiment* mixed in to complete the unique backup. Like chilly but different... no fraking idea on what the hell was that.. really.

 

The bartender told us that shepherds from certain high mountains in Germany drink it when winters are extremelly cold.

 

One damn hard "backup"... it's hard to explain how much.. ;)

it might not be as strong in terms of alcohol (40%) but it does have a strong taste. 250.000 scoville naga chilli wodka. Some say it is hotter than pepperspray. If you drink this you either lost a bet or you are completely out of your mind. Luckily for me i never lost a bet and i ain't completely out of my mind yet so i haven't had the pleasure of tasting it but there are quiet a few video's of ppl tasting it on youtube.

fuzzy bunny dude, you win. 250k scovies is nowhere near pepperspray (depending upon dilution of course), but that's still on par with a lot of capsicum Chinense pods. Combine something on the hot end of a habanero with the burn you already get from the alcohol... I'd still take a shot of this over eating another ghost pepper, something tells me this would burn less on its way out the next day.

I've had rum distilled to near Everclear levels.  The guy in Jamaica, mon who gave it to me had a few screws (and teeth) loose, but when he called it 'Rude to your girlfriend's parents', I totally understood.

 

I've had the chill-filtered/distilled Scots Whisky used to blend, too - and in my opinion, all high-proof (>151 proof) alcohol must taste essentially similar (and I mean that literally).

 

As for the upstream comment about cost-effectiveness - I agree.  Get cheap Vodka, and filter it through a Brita charcoal filter to make it drinkable, and you're drinking something that tastes like the best vodkas Grey Goose or Polmos ever made.

 

Edit: personally, I drink Black Grouse or Johnnie Walker Black to chase the demons of the day away. I also like summer wines from Portugal, and California Pinot (Grigio).  For wintertime heavy formal meals, Beaujolais or Pinot; for sucking beer down after hard work, I like true Pilzners (PIlsener Urquell, Czechvar/Budwar, some German, or Polish such as Zywiec), and when I drink in public here in Texas, I drink Woodford Reserve (Kentucky Bourbon of the first water).

So what exactly are you planning on doing with the info here Fake? I've had shots of neat 190 proof Everclear, but it's not really something I would recommend to anyone unless they like choking on fumes from alcohol that's rapidly evaporating in their throat and mouth. Not much of a fan of drinking in general though, so maybe that's your thing.

I usually did not drink it properly, actually. IF YOU AIN'T TAKIN" SHOTS GTFO THE CLUB.
 

Actually, take a double shot glass, and fill it with equal parts peppermint-something (i.e. schnapps or Rumplemintz or something), krautlikor-something (i.e. Jaegermeister), and absinthe, Chartreuse, or Pernod, etc. Little something I came up with a few holiday seasons ago; Call it a "Burnt Out Christmas Light." Surprisingly, not as disgusting as it might sound. But then again, I actually tend to like stuff that is mildly-unpleasant and tastes like medicine. Also, a shot of 50/50 peppermint-something and Jaegermeister-equivalent tastes almost exactly like a liquid candycane, just FYI.

For the record, I don't really drink like this anymore, this is all from my idiot college years. Hopefully, the damage to my liver wasn't too irreparable.

Consider using champagne as a force multiplier to shots of any heavy stuff. But be careful.

Any fellow Hawkeneer gets a few rounds of my uncle's homemade 75 V/V % quince p�linka when visiting my place.

Everclear is available in "Select" liqour stores here... though the state has banned the sale of it... I don't know why..
But I myself prefer Schnapps and Vodka... 99 proof brand is my poison... mixed with monster.

Watermelon moonshine. The bubble pops at about 180-190. But there's something about the leftover sugar that hits you Like a freight train. It's basically a jar of stupid sauce.

I like going against the best of any game I play. Helps you in the long run n motivates u to do more. Always room for improvement not failure

The only issue I have with this stuff is the smell of the exhaust, the denaturing chemicals they add to it so you don't drink it can really mess you up in an area that isn't well ventilated.

 

Other than that, its pretty good stuff.
