How do you get images into forum posts?

 

When I click the image icon it only displays a URL; Is there a way to upload straight from your computer?

 

If not, what is the right way of going about getting a URL to a specific image?

I dunno, I think you used to be able to do it via the 'My Media', but you still have to upload it, just to the forums. Also there was only a very small amount that you could upload before you had to start removing images. So... there isn't a way? Not in the sense that you could upload them immediately to the post.

what is the right way of going about getting a URL to a specific image?

I personally use Imgur because it's easy, and has other nice features.

Click on "Upload Images" at the top, then drag the image(s) you want uploaded and click on "Upload" - then once it's done, you either right-click on the image and click on "View image" or "Copy image location".

I was thinking about imgur, but i did not know about the copy image location
