haha omg, I could definitly play a jedi academy king of the hill death match in bunker!!! WOuahahaha! I can see it in my mind! Running with the snow with my mount to go as fast as possible to the bunker and see some areas in the fog change color due to light sabers!

PilotErrorTV and I were cruisin along winter eco at speeds of about 2.5 YPH... that's yetis per hour. 

 

Don't quit it until you hit it. Everyone laughs when you leave the server and we get drones next map.

Double post I know, but the thought occurred in another thread while this one is much more appropriate. Hopefully I'll make it, cause this sounds like fun and I want them jingly balls. We usually go to a friend's house around that time (7pm here CST), but if that doesn't happen and/or this goes long enough I'll be there.

 

Twas a night playing Hawken

And all through the snow

Not heard was a weapon

Not even a tow

For the presents were crushed

By the feet of the mechs

The air was hushed

And noone used jets

Then out of the bounds

There arose such sounds

That it could only be Marvin the Yeti

And the silence was shattered

As jets roared and guns clattered

Jingle ball drones, we'll get ye!

Funny you should post that. I found this in a text file on an old USB drive a few months ago and had planned on posting it at some point. Not 100% if I wrote it or not:

 

Twas the night before MechsMas, and all through Illal,
Not a pilot was raging, not even OmegaNull.
EU was delivered to lifters with care
In hopes that the battleship soon would be there.
The recruits were nestled, all snug in their Freds,
While visions of TOW rockets danced in their heads.
And Cupcake with Vulcan and I with my Flak
Had just deployed drones for some healz, and a snack.
When on the AA there arose such a clatter,
I cancelled repair to see what was the matter.
Away to the silo I flew like a flash,
Spammed "Help Requested", and prepared for a clash,
Then to my surprise on my radar appeared
A towering yeti with a big yeti beard.
With a luscious white coat and a smile so charming
I knew in a moment that it must be Marvin!
And round the Last Eco this yeti then flew
With a sack full of presents and HE charges too.
As I gathered my wits and had just pressed shift s,
Marvin the Yeti ran up to my mech.
His fangs - how they shone! His ears, how merry!
His face was quite jolly, though his claws were quite scary.
He was fuzzy and cute, comedy really,
So I laughed when I saw him, truly quite silly.
He let out a roar and his mouth cracked a grin,
at that point we knew that we had to drop him.
Sentium and Prosk, working together,
for once just to take down this yeti much better.
And when Marvin was gone and the battle was done
I found in my hanger a shiny new drone.
But I remembered what Marvin said just as he died.
"Happy mechsmas to all, and to all a good night"

OPEN SEASON!!!

It took three hours and three attempts. During the first attempt we didn't have enough people or enough DPS. The second time Marvin showed up, he escaped with what I can only assume is half a GL's worth of health. Funny thing is, right before the escape I accidentally killed Ekagrah... Who was in an infil. After that I turned on negative friendly fire and we switched from dm to tdm... That way no accidental casualties.

 

Anyway, hope everyone who showed up had a good time, and congrats to everyone who got the drone.

Yup yup. Thanks for the event Crock. I gots them balls and they're now on all me mechs. Had fun and thanks again, it's always nice to have an event where noone's stressed out about winning and throwing fits. Just good times havin' :)
