Anyone ever notice that XD is an awesome brand of pistol? Being ambidextrous, I love the XD brand. It makes reading some forums comments a bit funnier and / or confusing, too.

My vote is for "Fuzzy Bunny" to knock down the obvious curse words. The rest of it should be policed by the community based on context and sentiment. Use that "Report" button folks.

List below the word(s) you're suggesting for the forum filter and the word it should be filtered to.
Well, if you follow the Fuzzy Bunny theme...
fuzzy bunny, fuzzy bunny = Fuzzy Carrot
fuzzy bunny, fuzzy bunny = Fuzzy Hole
fuzzy bunny = Mr. Fuzzy Bunny
fuzzy bunny = Mrs. Fuzzy Bunny
Racial slurs = Chocolate Bunny or ...Oh wait, probably don't wanna go that way.

I wouldn't mind "dead" filtering to "ded" either.

Wow serious? People need to get their head out of the sand. Welcome to reality and how the real world works. We have to protect the children. Really? From what? Words they hear every day at school, at home, on the street, on the net, in their game chats, their personal text to each other, from the sext they send to each other not just High school, not just middle school, they do it in large numbes in grade school now. Hell they take Uzi machineguns to grade school now. Read the news. Watch TV. If you don't like the way some people speak then you should have the option to turn on a filter. That is your right. But your right to tell others how to speak, what to think is not your right. I may not agree with what you say but I will defend you to my death the right to say it. But it is your forum but I am strongly against any form on censorship. This is my opinion. Yours may vary.
PS: I might note that contrary to the "newbie" tag, I've been here for years.

I appreciate this. I enjoy forums within which there are no censors, only rules for abusing each other with them. However, don't expect to move the mountain that is standard forum policy with a post like this. No one has their head in the sand. Using "fuzzy bunny" to cover up words that society has chosen to find objectionable is not only a widely used policy, it's a tradition for this community, and I'd argue it provides a certain atmosphere.
Regardless of how much I curse, and how much I don't care about what words I see on the screen as long as points are being made and communities are being built, I do think we should continue what we've started and give every word to be filtered, a filter of "fuzzy bunny".

I do not necessarily disagree with you. I've seen the "fuzzy bunny" here since I came to Hawken years ago. Sometimes it has been way overboard. Racist remarks I have no use for. Derogatory remarks meant to inflame another player is not necessary either. I do get it. There has to be some rules for a forum of this nature to keep them from turning to chaos. LOL. Believe me I understand. I am on some forums where that does not exist and it can be "interesting" to say the LEAST. :p Oh yeah, I did kind of figure that the "Newbie" tag was accoding to the new administration of the new forum. No problem, I was just letting others know I have been here for years. Take care and be safe.
