Eeeeeh...At first I was hyped, but then I compared previous videos and latest one and realized I was hyped for nothing. I mean the graphics and combat were pretty fake, and there were lockbox and key...More store purchase incentives... Gun customization is plain awesome, though.

Well boy, we don't have internet at the moment. At all. My mother decided to try and mess with some things, and now we don't have any net connection.

Wish me well while I try to choke myself on a pillow in frustration for just not being able to wait and see if it was something on the provider's side.

Since most of us stopped actively playing HAWKEN and the resurrection of the EU Fight Club never happened (sorry Elite) I figured I share what I was working on and if someone is interested in it I can share the code and the database.

 

It reads data from shadeness' app. It can be used as a server monitor (he implemented an unique id for servers for me so I can keep track of the same server without looking up the current dynamic one) that can be embedded to websites to showcase the image of the current map and the number of players on it.

 

But more importantly I made a stream overlay specificly for Fight Club events. It reads the players from the server and if they are new it puts them into a database. This database keeps track of how many duels the player had and it's statistics (win, loss and duel partners) and reads publicly available data from shadeness' app as well. This makes it easier to pick fighters based on the MMR, KDR and Fight Club stats and keeps track of the score. It is styled after the ingame scoreboard. I even wanted to implement a nemesis and achievement system. The current code is version 1.3, but still unfinished. I can share the countdown soundboard as well (I even have a version recorded by The_Silencer himself).

I would prefer Sunday, and I even have an old acquaintance of mine that wants to join us. The kid used to be my neighbour and I had to "babysit" him sometimes. This meant I allowed him to play with my consoles and PC and showed him gaming magazines, so I corrupted the poor kid. :D

 I'd prefer Saturday evening, since on Sunday I have evening shift, so I'm gonna be back home relatively late.
