I love me some Hawken.  AND I CANT WAIT FOR HOWKEN.

 

New mechs for the first time in 3 years.   New solid gold cosmetics.  New UI.  New styles of gamplay with each mech having a role to play.

 

Can we have a thread for people pumped about new Hawken (Howken)?  A thread where we don't talk down the the mods for banishing the morally corrupt?  A thread thats not for nay-sayers and rabble rousers?

I made this thread to talk about how great new mechs will be.  The Neif will be perfectly balanced on the PC version.  Easy enough for the low mmr players to handle against the top guys.  Easy enough to destroy for it to not do much damage to high tier players. 

 

Its very strong on consoles where hitting a flying A-Class is tough, but give them time to learn how the game plays with advanced dodging and remote det etc. and its balance will come around.

I was not aware of changes to the gren, this is great! Ive not had a use for it for a long, long time especially since its ability changed to the garbage it is currently.

hestoned tried out the gren last week on xb1, and said it was pretty terrible.  the rev-gl firing time was real slow, as well as the gren moving about 1 foot per minute crawl speed when turreted.  i think i'll pass on this one.

I have been enjoying the new rev gl gren. The slow rate of fire makes it very challenging. The turret mode, while leaving you immobile allows you to continue firing buffed "hot loads" for as long as you are alive. It will surely bring glory to the republic.

Supposedly the new Civ is possibly some kind of dual-eoc thing? Not confirmed I guess. But I hope it's true.

If you have ever dreamed of walking behind the heavy mechs to the point that they can't turn fast enough to catch you, then you sir are in luck. This is more or less what happened when i watched Hestoned playing it with a 0.8s one. The dodge chain allowed for faster movement than turn cap by far.

Sounds like a great thing for cqc, would be pretty deadly with flak, although the timing would be odd.

Did they reduce air speed overall, or did it stay roughly the same. Spacebar will prolly go a long way against a dual eoc mech lol. I'm decent with it, but I still rely on my grenade a lot with inf.

It's a relatively old picture. Take a look at the EXIF properties.
