Hi, i have been playing this game for some time now, and I must say: I enjoy what the game currently offers, but i am getting bored. I want to explore the world of Illal, I want to see what else this game could offer people. I think, this game could really expand its playerbase, if they offered players a chance to step outside the arena of corporate greed and maybe explore black market smuggling, or giant bugs infected by the hawken virus. In conclusion, I leave it more open to you, the community at large, to suggest something that the new devs could do to bring in more people and expand on the lore.

I sure do like PvE, but how do we shoot a virus if it kinda is scary

I'm pretty sure the hawken virus can only infect mechanical things and either renders them unusuable or corrodes it. Cant confirm any of this though, but it might say in the graphic novels.

Meh pve would be great but in the end it will become an mmo RPG if it becomes multiplayer ... And that is (to me) a completely different game.

Maybe a single player thing?

Like a way to avoid syncing account or stats so ull be able to go in the game and all bit not earn money xp and play multiplayer.

I wouldn't want an open world but maybe caimpains to make us think a bit like game theory.

i agree with Groll, this is a fps game with strategic based objectives that run anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour. throwing in pve just turns it into an mmo adding in those npcs that you come into contact with and then there are quests that you receive xp (for that mech) and rewards (items/ internals).

 

everything would become stat/ lvl based because there would have to be A LOT more weapons with diff stats and/ or side affects. i dont think youd want to play an mmo with only a set of 4 weapons/ mech. i dont think that youd want to spend countless hours with the same build*, you dont play skyrim using only the starting armor and weapons, you progress with the game and story, and eventually end the game (story) with daedric or dragon armor. and if anything it would be similar to skyrim, single player open world with areas to be seen that visually show you the story and changes along the way.

 

a campaign would be nice to take us through the story for us to gather more information about Hawken, but all in due time. right now its strictly multiplayer pvp and thats where ADH left it... who knows, maybe they were planning on making a campaign for it but couldnt?

in the graphic novels it shows the virus consuming a cow and a tree.

 

and I would LOVE to have some open world areas. I wanna walk around my hanger and take some friends on an escort mission to collect fuel and sell it for HC.

Hawken was originally supposed to have an extensive single player but that'll probably never happen. Or at least not for several years.

Just imagine the possibilities,playing hawken in open world,like playing any mmo nowadays,with your mech,and the road ahead of ya..

Capnjosh mentioned on a Q&A, fwkawesome youtube channel, he'd like to do some PvE stuff. A lot depends on the games success, and time, at the least 6-8 months out if everything goes well.

Can't be too hard to make some giant maps by splicing the existing senery together.

 

I'd be nice to have a "hub" where you could goof off with your friends or something.
