I was looking back in my old screenie folder and found this

This is from August of last year and it was 2 ish months in since I've started playing. It's interesting to look back and see how far I've come. Well, I'm still pretty pretty terrible but still, I'M LEARNING D8

 

Anyways, this made me curious, what was your first screenshot? Post the screenie of said pic, if you still have it, below! It can be a screenie or a clip of you when you were starting out ;D

removed hawkens ability to write those kinds of things long ago to save resources (paranoid?) random screenshots and logfiles can reach many gigs but kinda bummed now that i threw away some old memories so thats why i left the chat history lines intact in my ini files since going read only to honor the lost data

For those of you that are unfamiliar with what you are looking at, this was from the Closed Beta 3 in early December in 2012, about a week before the official launch.  

 

Everyones garage was bugged out and nothing displayed, I guess that explains why there's still database issues.

I went looking through old posted photographs and most of them are scoreboards and the like from ages past; pre-TAW and before I was called Scrublord. But here's one of my very first Infil. The caption claims it is less worthy for running an AR, but I've come some time since.

I have no idea what happened, but that zerker just flies away...

At the time, MVP doesnt do that anymore, plus this siege just started.

Just went through all of my memories and forums records(Not official forums), this should be the very first Hawken screenshot of mine.

Climbing origin was so much fun. Sniping from super high spots was tons of fun!


I used to jump inside the ship and shoot people at AA 

 

The technician update caused a lot of people to leave

 

Bottom right is the funniest person I've gotten to know during my 4+ years playing this game. An old war veteran with hilarious accent and laugh. I hope he's doing well alive or in spiritual essence 


Duels were a lot of fun back then and having voice chat helped a lot.

Spliff_craven was a great member of the community.


The cockpit glitch was funny. At least we got to see how the rest of the cockpit was designed.


Forum spam was some trouble wasn't it?

If I'm not mistaken, these were all from Closed Beta events between end of October 2012 to before Open Beta.

 

One from closed beta 2 or 3 I think. Prosk used to look so beautifully ugly.

Here's a fun one from an early CB (I think it's CB1 or 2, probably CB2 because I think by CB3 they removed the ability to do this, and I don't remember being in CB1).

I was took this screenshot to overlay on top of the normal view to see if I could figure out why the game chugged so hard when looking in this direction. I never got around to reporting it, mainly because I didn't know how Unreal handled wireframe drawing of objects not being drawn in the normal mode. Still fun to see how dense the wireframe view is, though.

 

Lol... gameplay. I had to play the round with the load screen in my face the whole time because of a glitch. I think this was CB2.

the zerk with the crazy  crosshair was from the time before they let us customize the hud,

we'd use overwolf or mumble overlays to customize crosshairs

Don't have any screenshots from way back in the day (I was young and ignorant), but seeing this thread reminded me that I had this old Siege gameplay I uploaded way back in the day, dated October 2012, so probably closed beta 1 or 2.  Don't have any screens or video saved from the Alpha though :(

does anybody have any old pov pictures for scout before ascension patch? there used to be that carl sagan quote "a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam" hidden next to the crosshair. not screencapping that will always bug me.
