I wish this was made back when I was around 2250 MMR (While having 300ping) during Christmas time (Would be nicely sitting at around 250th) but very little game time recently has sadly dropped my down a fair bit 

 

Better start getting my MMR back up to 2200 or so 

 

For some reason I am tempted to loose a few more MMR just to sit in 666th

This is the 1st time i saw the Leaderboards, seriously Awesome work Shadeness    This and the Hawken server lists are invaluable :)
Should mention, "Anon" is all over the Leaderboards and greyed out everywhere O.o

Im getting the feeling i should use anonymous instead of using the 4chan contraction.

Btw only reason i couldn't check the leaderboards till today was because it didn't load, my isp sometimes has these issues

The leaderboard is opt in. It wont show the callsign or stats of a user unlessz they followed http://home.xshade.c...erboard/opt-in/ , it will instead show the user as anon and only show the users mmr.

Ill make a tooltip or something on those rows later.

So out of the top nine players, 6 use scouts as their primary. 2 use scouts as their second and one as their third.

Its an interesting observation, but I should point out that, first, Clusterbomberman and gokart51 are the same person, and second that most of these players put a lot of time in the scout far before the current patch. The stats you see pre-date the current meta.

I don't know why I thought this from the posts I read, but I went searching for a graph showing the distribution of what mechs were most used (kill count).

Maybe it was the post about most weapons used by the top nine, which he just sorted manually by looking.

That would be a cool stat to see graphed. What's being played in terms of what mechs are doing all the killing.

Does anyone know how MMR is calculated overall? Are the numbers in the calcuations based on long-term career averages or based on, say the last 50 matches?  

  

Can you play poorly for 1000 hours and then bring your MMR up in a couple weeks of good playing? Or would you have to play well enough over long enough to make up for the last 1000 hours of terrible gameplay? 

  

Someday I will make that roster. Maybe ill be number 999, but ill get there.

Based on your performance (score/min) each match, 2 min minimum, against the server average (for the r_i) for every contestant in the match over that 2min threshold.   I suspect RD₀ is 35, not 350. RD for any given match will depend on the relationship between the MMR you entered and the server MMR (likely based on the average over the match).  I further suspect there is an adder for finishing position (RD is modified by up to -6.18 for each position below 1st, again how much it's modified will depend on the R_i).  It doesn't matter if you win or lose, just that you could bring scoring better than half the server field to the match in the server.

 

Can I conclusively PROVE this without a lot of data for MMR before/after matches?  Not yet.  I may do this (on my own scores with a new alt) if I have a weekend free someday.
