Sorry if I missed a post somewhere along the line about this Shadeness, but I had no idea you had a leaderboard of sorts going. No idea if that's like the full deal or anything, but that is sick! Keep up the good work man!

I didn't see any of the high level west players listed as being west. Kinda confused about how region is being determined actually...

Surprised to see someone from the Australia region with that high of an mmr who I have not seen play before. How is the players region being determined?
That's a lot of anon
And if only my mmr stayed at 2161

You'll be placed in that region bracket once you've played a match in that region.
edit: as long as your mmr is public.
edit2: also the regions just got changed. sooo idk. shadeness probably has to change some things around.

All the old region data is migrated to the new ones. I also bumped up the number of users from 250 to 1000 which shows people at an MMR of around 2000 and as low as 1900 on the NA page. The other regions probably list everyone.

I will as soon as the fuzzy bunnyng UPS guy delivers my GPU. I think I'm around 2775 or something. That'd put me at number 4. I'm definitely not going to tryhard to 3000 unless the game gets a decent combat update, or I fall in love with Nvidia physx effects. There's no point. Plus, then I'd have to cheese as hard as dave, and he smells.

Posted the link in IRC as an Easter Egg yesterday. I was still hoping to get it up on heroku but I've given up on that for now. So YAY. Leaderboards!

I wasn't on IRC, I found this through heroku
EDIT: It was under the users tab. Which is only accessible when viewing an individual user. I get it now.

So why am I not appearing, even though I have my MMR public? Am I one of the Anons? What does Anon represent, anyway?
Not to put too fine a point on it, but your MMR is 1918 and the lowest public one is Liederkranz at 2018.
The leaderboard only does top 1000.

If you switch to w/PublicMMR you can see all 379 users with PublicMMR enabled.
Shadeness, how does region work in this?

Need to do some pagination.
And I also need to have users manually tell the app they renamed a mech as it takes a very long time to check every user to see if they have public mmr. Going to make a new page/form todo that soonerish
Regions are based on the last server you played in. So the region based leaderboards will lose and gain users as they switch to nalorth America to play on populated servers.

(Also my MMR was higher, I have just been a bit stupid lately and have been manually joining matches, some of which have been drastically affecting my MMR. I should stop doing that...)

Suggest That.
The ranking does not include pilots (enough at least one of the paragraphs):
- Who played less than 5 hours per quarter. 4 Quarters Including: 1) March, April, May; 2) June, July and August; 3) September, October, November; 4) December, January, February. I propose now to start the countdown. And 1 June deleted from the Leaderboard do not play the game. Or add a version of the Leaderboard where will not be those who left the game.
- Who played less than 50 hours of game time with the registration in the game (so exclude Twinkie/Smurfs)
- Who got the ban in the game
Suggest adding more columns to the table. Columns with the amount of wins (without specifying the number of defeats - maybe not to confuse players) in the different main modes of game: DM, TDM, MA, Siege. It will be very interesting to see the distribution of wins depending on the MMR.

Anon is any user that does not have public MMR.

Maybe we could have a seperate leaderboard that shows the active players? (like, played a match within the last 4 months or something)

I believe they're just people that didn't set a mech as PublicMMR (Gives the website permission to take their data), hence personal data other than MMR isn't released

I already don't show players who haven't played in a few weeks. I should probably track how long they've played in that time frame as well. That's something you can only apply after gathering new data for a few weeks though.Maybe we could have a seperate leaderboard that shows the active players? (like, played a match within the last 4 months or something)
I've thought about using a minimum time played as a filter as well. I'll have to look at what's a good minimum though from the current data.
- Who played less than 50 hours of game time with the registration in the game (so exclude Twinkie/Smurfs)
I actually have no idea how to tell if a person is banned. I could manually filter them out though if it's an issue.
- Who got the ban in the game
Team based game modes are dependent on other factors (balance/not a full server/other players). The number of wins will probably correlate with TimePlayed more than anything else. There's also no guarantee all those wins were from when their MMR was so high. Wins over a finite timespan would also just correlate with the amount of time played.Suggest adding more columns to the table. I do not agree. By your logic, all players who commit murder takes place in ideal conditions in a fight one on one? If you just run in passing ratio KDA evident that someone is playing a lot more than their neighbor rated.

Why can't you show the person and their MMR? I don't understand why this has to be a secrete. This is not PII data. Everyone should be oped in, but if they want to be oped out there should be away. Just my two cents.

The community currently expects it to be hidden. So it will remain so. I don't think MMR is really suited for this sort of ranking since it's only a rough guide to group players within ~300 MMR. And so, it'll remain opt in for the people who wish for it.
how come im not on the leaderboard :(

- Users can now have the app check their garage manually instead of waiting for an update (which would take longer to do every run as new players are added every day). http://home.xshade.c...erboard/opt-in/
- Now filtering out pilots who haven't reached the maximum rank (level 30) from the leaderboard.
- Added a new column that shows the number of mechs a pilot owns.
- Finally some graphs showing some distributions while filtering out older players. http://home.xshade.c...days/mechcount/
