I don't understand why you would be against it. Everyone should still get their respective skins, but those who went out of their way to kill devs should get something, be it camo or just a forum badge. We were told we would get something for participating in the dev hunt specifically, I think I even skipped class that day for that reason.

Overall, I do not mind lack of anything for the dev hunters. Cool it with more players getting more bling staff.

However, if something is promised, people gave their time, it is advisable to keep promise. There is another little thing do not manage to achieve by devs.Too many of these promises and mishaps.

Underscore at the end, more free stuff for all, is the best value indicated.

You don't understand why I don't share your entitlement attitude, why I don't share the view that I 'wasted my time' playing a game for one evening and only being given one free gift instead of two as a result_  Maybe I'm just grateful for what we've got and took enjoyment from the last few tests as payment enough.  Perhaps I'm easily pleased.

I think you misunderstood me. I am perfectly content with what we've received and extremely grateful to the devs. There is nothing they would have to give me to get my $60. I purely want to support them because they are genuinely awesome people who obviously care about their fans. My only concern was for the people who were told they had to play the game at a specific time to receive something. I feel a small added bonus for them would have been a nice reward for their effort. But you're right, sharing is always the biggest reward.

They did. The top handful of them got a title of "Dev Killer" in their forum profile right above their avatar. That was their bonus.

Everyone who played in the alpha(at least, that's how it sounds like now; used to be anyone who played in the last 12 hours of A2) will get the alpha camo and (assuming they played in beta) the beta camo; anyone who played in any beta will get the beta camo.

Yep. There are only ten of them, and a few have been much less active lately (I'm guessing real life is taking up their time), but they certainly exist. However, the only one that comes to mind right now is Immie. I can't remember the others. (I'm sorry, guys!)

IIRC, the forum title was supposed to be for those who killed the devs the most out of everyone else during the event.  As I remember it, originally it was a separate item (cosmetic, of course) that was to be granted for participating in the event, even if you never spotted a dev, much less managed to kill one.

I may be mistaken on the details (nor can we get to the alpha forums any longer to verify), but that was the situation as I remember it.

Personally, I'm fine with what is being offered/given.  I've had a heck of a lot of fun going pew-pew-pew in the game since A2.  Getting anything for being a part of the development process, no matter how small, is great.

surprises in store for everyone for the final day of the Alpha (yes...  I said "awesomer"!).

Starting at noon (12pm) PST on Friday, October 5th and going until the
servers close at 11:59pm PST, you'll want to keep your eyes peeled
in game for developers! Look for callsigns that follow this naming
convention:

[ADH](Callsign)
and
[MTR](Callsign)

If you see those callsigns in-game, you'll know you're fighting a dev
(or hopefully have one on your team)! And good luck to those of you who
run across us!  Now, in order to pull this off, we've had to disable
the ability to change callsigns. We don't want users abusing this
naming convention and changing their callsign to spoof devs. We'll
turn this functionality back on at a future date.

Now onto the presents!
Every single account that logs into a match during these "dev hunting"
hours will receive a special alpha-participation-only award at Open Beta
on 12.12.12. Note you have to actually log INTO a game to be eligible
for this award. Simply logging into the garage won't cut it. The ONLY
way to receive this award will be to participate in this 12 hour event.

The top 10 "dev hunters" will receive a special recognition in
the blog at playhawken.com. Not only will we mention your call sign,
but we'll also be sure to put your kill totals up as well.

We'll see you in-game on Friday!
