Don't deny it.
You know it's true.
In your heart you know.
You do.

Plain and simple: I can only grind DM for so long, TDM is campy at best and frustratingly unorganized at worst, Missile Assault is barely a step up from TDM, and Siege is just bleh.
Basically, CTF will save this game for me. Preferably regular CTF where each team has a flag and needs to take the enemy's back home to score. It's a proven formula that works, has both action and strategy, and would play on the game's strong points. 10 mechs bunched up in the same area all throwing explosions at each other is not something I'd consider among the game's strong points. Splitting into small groups of defenders, flag runners, and escorts, juking around terrain, mech cat and mouse, forcing engagements to cover cappers, tactical maneuvers to cut off escaping enemies, duels on cornered opponents, etc, etc... Now that is something I'd like to play.

I'm with ColdBound on this, having DM and TDM didn't make UnrealTournament, Halo, Battlefield, and CoD the same game. These are the most basic forms of gametype, pure and simple. Capture the flag is one that can get cheap if people get too creative. I like the idea that it becomes a gametype. Realistically, I don't see how the mecha are going to be able to "carry" a flag.
However, I do see collecting data cores (or some vital piece to the other team's faction) and taking that back to their respective bases to be downloaded. However, to even download the data, your team's active datacore has to be set in the base.

I'm sure there would be some sort of capture experience reward, but I strongly disagree with any sort of power up.
