Loved the chaos of 12 in a dm but i guess 10 will do...

To be expected. Next major patch will later this month, most likely on or slightly after Frostburn ending. They patched the game in December, had to deal with a few issues that cropped up before Christmas, then I know they took a break after nose to the grindstone to get the game in Open Beta.

Good to see the Meteor and Adhesive staff back in full swing.

Underwhelming patch unfortunately.

What I'd like to see:
- Balanced EMP
- Bring back the Alpha/Closed Beta chassis'
- New maps
- More communication from your part to the player base

Not gonna stop me from playing, but it would be nice to see those things earlier than later. Happy hunting in 2013!

A month time since last update... and You give Us this_
Edited values in server config file and a color fill on icons_
At this pace this game will come out of beta stage in 2 years!
Do You have any ETA on the final product_

Im disappointed! (and I bet Im not the only one)..

The people complaining about the size of the patch come across as people who have never had jobs and weren't aware there was a major holiday.

Unless I imagined it the EMP is back to ~4 seconds.  It's still not far short of an 'I Win' button against Cs but hey, this is a step in the right direction.

I think EMP needs to have a lock-on and a much bigger radius and a 5 second cool-down and deal 150% the damage of a HE to the players not hit with it!

I guess most think that this company didn't deserve the holiday time. I farm and I even had a good couple weeks to myself :D so yeah it wasn't much, but even little "patches", if you will, are enough to show some form of acknowledgement. I look forward to seeing more unfold!

Worse is the mouthbreathers that leave their Open Mic on and you have to listen to their family dog barking in the background as they type with a resounding TAK TAK TAK every few seconds.

But yes, being able to see WHO is talking instead of playing mute roulette (Which is largely ineffective) would be nice, as well as mute applying to chat so that you can't see little kids cursing at the other team after they die.

As it is, my only option is to entirely disable incoming mic sounds, which can hurt communication if you're with a good player that gently issues commands like "We have enough EU, head to AA"

edit: and a report feature for micspam/chat abuse  would be neat, but i don't know how that'd be handled or even tracked

I'd say it's a disappointing patch, but I wasn't expecting anything until after Operation Frostburn was over, so this is an unexpected gift.  I'll be expecting actual gameplay tweaks in the next one, tho.

People's expectations for this patch were entirely too high, imo. Seriously people, the patch before this one dropped pretty much just before a major holiday. Did you honestly think we were gonna get anything groundbreaking at this time_ I'm personally not expecting epic level patches until either just before, or after official release.

Personally, I think I'm gonna enjoy the maximum player number nerf to DM. It'll hopefully be less of a flustered lover now.

It's too late. I cancelled my subscription and encourage others to do the same.

Anyone else clocked the new building in one of the side corridors at the edge of Prosk_ Weird.
Speaking of Prosk and map cycle fixes, I got Prosk twice in a row on the first run after the patch which hasn't happened before. Not as weird as that new building though. I don't have any complaints though, looking forward to the next one + Hughes Q&A looks interesting.
