Heh, got inspired by the "First mech game" thread and wanted to see what you guys played.

For me, the first PC game I ever played was Freespace 1 (Damn good game, so is its sequel).  Came with my uncle's PC as part of a package.

Technically the oldest PC game I ever played was "Popeye" and it was some 2D Donkey Kong-ish game on my cousin's PC.  Otherwise the oldest 3D PC game I played was Tomb Raider.  Played for 10 minutes, saw the mummy, ran, and never played since :P

The first actual PC game I played, I think, was GORILLA.BAS. I'm old, I know. Stuff it. :P

That or Alley Cat and/or Test Drive. I'm not sure which truly came first, they're both from the same time. Yes, that is CGA.

The first PC game I ever played was the original Oregon Trail on a Commodore business machine we had at school back in '82 (yeah, I'm old).  By the following year, I was the proud owner of a Commodore 64, and I think the first PC game I ever owned for it was the original Castle Wolfenstein...

I had a Gorf cartridge on my Vic 20.

Also used to play "Blue Meanies From Outer Space" too, but that was on cassette and took longer to load.

Never did get a C-64

First PC game for me was either Eye of the Beholder or the original side-scrolling Duke Nukem, I remember playing both around the same time so I can't be certain which was first.

It was also insanely hard! I never actually beat it.  I did pick up Grimrock on Steam when it was on sale...have yet to try it.

This is a great thread!

The first game I ever played was on my dad's DOS box.  I believe it was called Castle Adventure (released in 1984).  Behold!

The oldest game I have ever played, however, was an original Pong machine.  It was on display in a museum, no joke. :D

First game, among various others, was HERO on the C=64 back in '84.
Other top games was Test Drive, California Games, Maniac Mansion, Zak McKracken etc.
Good times!

Oh, forgot one. The most weird and annoying C=64 game I've ever played to this date.
Never figured it out... <_<

Not sure anymore, but I remember Prince of Persia 3d being one of the first ones.

Bah, now I miss mechwarrior 3. That was my 2nd or 3rd game.

First games I ever played were on a Tandy 1000 when I was 3 years old. I think my favorite was called Wizards & Warlocks or something similar, can't remember it very clearly. Played it off a 5" floppy, lol.
