The first PC game i remember playing would be... The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind... Loved it, still in my opinion, the best TES game to date, (yes, i've played daggerfall, but i like morrowind better)

Have you seen the mod that makes Morrowind run with Oblivion's graphics engine_  It's called Morroblivion (you have to have Morrowind and ALL of the expansion packs, plus their engine adapter to install it, I've never tried it).  They are also currently working on a mod that allows Morrowind to be played with the Skyrim engine (Skywind) but I don't think that one's finished yet.  When it is, I might try it:

http://www.pcgamer.c...-skyrim-engine/

I'm a massive Elder Scrolls freak.  I've beaten Skyrim several times and used probably 60+ graphics/texture mods on it while playing it...

At an unbeliveable high quality 16colors CGA video graphics... Lol. those were Good 'Ol Days, indeed. :D

You know, I kinda miss those days too.  I mean of course I'm impressed with the level of graphics we have now in today's games, but in the past it was like a "Blood, Toil, Tears, and Sweat" job to get the game working at impressive FPS.  But when it did, oh the satisfaction it brought to the player!  I mean today even Intel integrated graphics are pretty decent enough to run light games, but in the past, only graphic cards could run games.  When Quake III came out, there wasn't even a graphics card powerful enough to run the damn thing, but 6 months later they came out with the Geforce 256, and finally the game ran properly.  Well, I started out with an nVidia Riva 128ZX and when I didn't have access to that I had to use Integrated SiS 530 (*throws up*).  But then I got my own, my first gaming card: an nVidia Geforce 2 GTS, and everything changed!  It was like going from the slums of Uganda to the Penthouse sweet in Paris.  DAMN WHAT A DIFFERENCE!  Not to mention the 50-100MHz FSB overclocking and a 50-200MHz CPU speed increase had a HUGE impact on performance.  Dealing with DIP switches and IRQ conflicts and having a proper AGP slot or relying on the crappy PCI 33 slot...soo many pains, yet somehow it was fun.  Just the thought of visiting a computer shop made me jump for joy!  Ah, miss it.

Yeah, man; indeed. :) Not that I'd like to play that tennis game again rather than Hawken now... but has been quite an exciting and overdrive tek-curve until we can play and flip with a game like Hawken today. Wow! Yeah.. :D

Number Munchers represent. God I can't even remember the year, but it had to be 3rd or 4th grade on a Mac.

Edit: Oh, and as for a PC game:

But of course.

I had Paratrooper on my Apple ][+, but had totally forgotten about it (even though it was previously mentioned in this thread) until I saw the pic of it.  Didn't know that was the first PC game, because I got it well after the original Wolfenstein lol.

Red Alert was the first real PC game Kiwi remembers playing. As for the oldest_ Kiwi honestly doesn't know. Probably Wolfenstein 3D.
Beep beep, Kiwi's a Chaffeemancer.

Hum along to this peaceful tune while enjoying the wonderful gameplay of that which is the New Zealand Story! Played this in my very young days on the Commodore 64.

Paratrooper was my first game, on an old IBM PC back in 1991 I think it was.
Violence may not be the best option, but it's still an option.

As far as I can remember, it was Gumball on my family's first computer, an Apple II.

And once we got DOS machines, I played so many different games I cannot even remember them all. This was always one of my favorites:

This would be my oldest (unless you count ports of Pong). But this I played on the original arcade system:

Yup. DooM on linux, of course. BZFlag 1988 LAN, and I still have it loaded on this AMD box--altho it's the 2.4 release...heh :)
and LAN Battleship, tabletennis/pong. all before the majic fat pipe ethernet was even thot of!
but the all time oldest i guess is BZFlag. and i suck at it just as bad as i do with hawken.

First computer game I played, if you exclude the Commodore 64, was some game where you raced cars, for money or pink slips.  Could upgrade the cars.  Etc.  Do not remember the name.  Been a looooong time.  Second would be the Sierra games like Kings Quest and Leisure Suit Larry.

Now, if you include the Atari and Commodore 64... pong.
