Seems you are right.
Though I have seen lots of reapers with AM-SAR, but almost none with Hawkins-RPR.

The RPR has very little dps, which is understandable given it's rate of fire. But either the dps/rof needs slightly adjusted or it's heat levels need to be nerfed. I can get triples with the SAR, I only get 1 kill before I overheat with the RPR

I am guessing that if you're a top-tier player (no problems staying perma-scoped even at very close range), AM-SAR will be better in almost all situations. If you're not, I'd expect RPR will be clearly better for close range combat.
