Hiya. I added a small red dot in the center of the HAWKEN 01 crosshair. Also, I made a "bloody" crosshair, which might be waaaaaaay too big, but I like it a lot.

Quick and dirty "open topped" crosshair I made for my Reaper.



I may thin out the Circle, It's a little thick maybe.



Two more I made in the process I ended up not liking. But perhaps someone else can find some use in them, or modify them.

Just save the images and use them with mumble overlay. The beginning of this thread explains how to do this very well if you have any trouble. Images are 100x100 PNG's with transparency already. All set to go.

For anyone that wanted it, here's an attempt at the old HUD's crosshair, please keep in mind I was limited by the 100x100 pixel size of the mumble overlay files, so it's likely smaller then it should be but you can re scale it with mumble to your liking.

how is that cheating , u could put a piece of tape on the monitor and it would do the same thing, the cross hairs were fine till they nurfed them.

o yea, sorry, I made 2 different cross hairs to use with this, one is off one of the subs that i was on the other i tried to copy the original posters.

afaik only 100x100 images work, and if you make anything bigger, it gets scaled down

I am also using her yellow circle design, but I colored the center red instead.

I think that we are missing the point the only reason this thread exists is the new HUD is chronic and broken compared to the old one. Its a normal reaction to get round a problem by been inventive, and I have forund the original post is by someone who is reasonable and takes a balanced view on things.
BRING BACK THE OLD HUD or at least make it an option.

Custom crosshairs and the option to display HUD elements on your mechs dashboard have both been pretty much confirmed to be in development in the latest Dev. Q&A.

On a side note, if those GIANT crosshairs actually work we may be able to implement the Entire old HUD crosshair, altimeter and all only it would be static and non functioning. Worth doing_

Since mumble uses PNG's a transparent crosshair wouldn't be hard to do. Why_
