You seem to be under the illusion that tactics still matter in the new patch...you would be wrong...it's non-stop insta death where sustain weapons rule...try hitting a single mech with a heat cannon these days...my poor "lil scouty banished to the garage forever...

You have to be more careful now, I've been playing for quite a bit since the new balance patch, while I may not be the best player, tactics still do matter, B/C's still have the durability to weather some hits as long as they have some cover to hide behind. That being said I've played heavies for the most part (even before the balance patch) and honestly even with the reduced health I don't really feel like my hawken playstyle has changed much. I am a much more defensive player that likes to stick together with teammates though.
If you aim properly the brawler should come out on top in most situations as long as you hug those corners like your life depends on it (because it does). In an open space with no cover the brawler is most likely lose the battle especially if they keep at mid range.
You just have to adapt to the fact you can't rush 3-4 people and expect to come out on top. Especially if you've noticed that there's a sniper waiting for you to come out of cover.

now its C-class the game.
interestingly enough B-class is just as effective now as it was before, but I have to ask the point, why introduce tuning and new ability changes if you're just going to revert them back. Not that it matters since I won't play any mech that lacks a t-bag taunt.

Holy fuzzy bunny, this is the first actually really good thing about the patch I've seen so far.

With mechs being more fast than ever, it's harder to hit with a detonator, which already has a long cd and is slow. 65 dmg is what compared to the health of A-classes, and B/C classes_ A tickle
Of course given how much they reduced A-classes health, people will complain about being 2 shotted most of the time. But is that because of the detonator_ look at the dps of machine guns that are much more effective with their high spread and the reduced heating, and look how low the A-class health is now
It seems that they nerf skillshots more and more, and buff sustain damage weapons to the point where it's not even worth it to try to master a skilled weapon (look at the Heat cannon).
Honestly we would be better with only 1 mech class, and changeable weapons.. it would simplify everything and be balanced for everyone

"kill your darlings" is a bold developer philosophy, and l get why a lot of you are upset by the changes, but for me this hits the spot in terms of balance and making me want to bring my friends into the game, now that attribute bonuses and tweaking is gone. The game will be more about skill and less about time invested in leveling up stats on mech X, which is a good thing for any serious PvP game.

Heres the new abilities. http://i.imgur.com/X...2zy7Sv.png You will put your vulcan Vanguard in garage and use vulcan grenadier now. Whilst it is slower but it is more better than turret mode vanguard now.

Yet it still sucks... I can not believe ADH would make all these movemnt changes that make turret mode a already pretty ineffective tatic with every mech aside from vangaurd and not change turret mode.... Like ~_~ I just hope they changed movement for it or something.... It has been bad for so dam long....

NEW Map: Bunker

I tried for days to resist pointing out this typo. I have failed.

Brawler takes 90% of the normal damage
Grenadier - 85%
Rocketeer - 55%
Vanguard - 40%
If a TOW missile (125 dmg) hits the brawler in the face while in turret mode it does 112.5 damage whereas it would only do 50 damage to the Vanguard. Imo, although there is a little unevenness between them, turret mode got a lot better with the patch, mostly because mechs don't have enough health to boost towards you and "vault" over to shoot you in the back any more.
To clear things up
Brawler turret mode
- damage reduction - 10%
- rear damage multiplier - 50%
- damage reduction - 15%
- rear damage multiplier - 30%
- damage reduction - 45%
- rear damage multiplier - 50%
- damage reduction - 60%
- rear damage multiplier - 50%
