Gotta say i agree with this guy, game feels way more generic than it did before with everything being so squishy that a fuzzy bunny breaks your mech apart, the armour change was a step in the wrong direction IMO

They should be bringing the servers down anytime now. I assume it'll take a day or so before they come back online. Pretty major update.
I think we should call this update "Hawken Unchained". We are finally going to see how balance works with an adequate population in-game. This is the day, pilots!

Releasing the rest of the content this patch was balanced for (Incinerator Mech and a new map), but mainly the increase in player base allowing the matchmaking to work correctly. It is really, really hard to balance a game for a small crowd as Team Hawken has been trying to do so far. The meta-meta is about to change significantly.

I wonder why hawken servers go down for such a long time. I know games where patching in a new build has no downtime at all. I can see 1 or 2 hours as reasobale due to also doing server maintenance but a day_ I hope it doesn't take that long.

Not only did Meteor make the game more like a generic shooter, they also made it simpler in text. Sorry, I find it really hard to describe what I'm talking about right now... So here's an example:
I think most of you will agree when I say "Upgrade your hydraulics" sounds a lot cooler than just saying "Upgrade your ground speed". I mean, it now just sounds more like a generic shooter..
I left MechWarrior Online for HAWKEN because it had the same "BIG epic mech battle" feel, but was a lot more fast-paced.

I think I'm returning to MWO soon...

Since the new update, I have had maybe 5% motivation to continue playing this game. It no longer feels like you are piloting a giant mech, fighting other mechs; which was the main draw for me.. Such a shame, I was playing daily, now I think I'll remove it and free up space for a new game. For shame.

Kerbstomp, thanks for adding the lil´ roar mech emote!, i remember when i posted a few ideas for them in the raider patch a while ago! (a roaring like lion king for small mechs, a yell for the medium ones, and a king kong chest banging and roaring for the large mechs)

came out really nice, good job!

i also like the sumo stomp a lot

What have I done...

I first I added the launcher to my Steam account and next thing you know Hawken is moving to Steam.
