Greetings pilots!

We made a small adjustment to the Slug Rifle today.
  • Decreased damage from 70 to 60
This was done to address the strength that the Reaper and Sharpshooter are currently demonstrating. This change reduces some of the burst potential of these mechs while keeping their harassment capabilities intact.

That was fast... so, how long has Xacius been working at Adhesive_ A couple months now, right_

Thanks for the change. A few more are necessary, but you've knocked out one of the bigger ones.

Only the Slug was adjusted. Ripper Reaper and the alternative have been and will continue to perform just fine.

Infiltrators are so low on my list of concerns that I'm not sure how to best respond to this. There's nothing out of line about them as far as I can tell; maybe a Heat user can confirm as that's the only thing that could possibly be wrong.

No, seriously, how much peoples playing as snipers_ 5%_ 10%_ Becouse they sucks at this game! Now they sucks more.
Give snipers -100 hp and get back 70 damage

Actually I saw sniper dominance in pretty much 2/3 matches since Steam because of this apperent issue. It's not the mech that sucks, it's your low skill/lag handicap, sorry. In the capable hands and a decent team, there is nothing to do but to pull out your own sniper. We don't want to limit people on what they play, now do we_ Also, your Infiltrator rant, they might seem like such a hotshot at first, but once you fight them long enough, you'll start to realise their weaknesses and exploit them, in no time the "noobtubers" won't be causing you that much trouble, depending on the pilot behind the mech.

Also, we can't balance the game around one's ping handicap, sorry. Hopefully Hawken will introduce eastern EU servers in the near future, since it seems you're Eastern European, correct_

GOOD! I'm glad you have to take 3 shots. Because getting a kill with less than 3 shots is super easy no-skill mode and you should have never been able to do that in the first place. This is what good balancing does.

I've played plenty of matches with over 120 ping and still gotten my ass kicked by SS players with higher pings taking advantage of their massive damage combos. The slug rifle has had an advantage for far too long. Ping should have nothing to do with it.

Correct me if I'm wrong... but if your taking about the Grenade Launcher, isn't the dps on that 50_ and the dps on a full charge Eoc 48 equaling a total of 98 dps_

thanks devs for this quick tweak to the slug. and oceania had 4 full servers last night at 10.45pm. brings a tear to my eye. hawken, you're growing up so fast ....:)

this should have been range limited not a base damge nerf.

at close range now a slug reaper has to hit both slug + unscoped kesabot to = one flak shot.


so at best it's just going to cause more sniping and sniperish behavior

don't we want to pull the reaper and ss into more a midrange suppresion role_  idk, maybe that's just me...
