You're still pulling this fuzzy bunny_ Why is the Assault STILL being marketed as a completely separate mech_

Hughes stated in the past that it existed only as a way of buying another "CR-T", but now it seems like it has to be special and slightly different from the CR-T.

Then we get yet ANOTHER Assault mech, which is just a watered-down and useless version of the existing 2. What's the point!_

The differences between the CR-T and Assault are so minimal they are basically the same mech functionally aside from the loadout being so commonly shared between mechs that they just feel like a bulkier Berzerker. Mechs for the most part look different (though you can make any mech a copy of another in its weight class) but too many perform too similarly.

The Assault is different from the CR-T.  For the first thing, the Assault is quicker and has better armor; it's just all-around an iterative improvement on the CR-T, from what I can tell.  Secondly, it is the only way to get to the dual-Vulcan Assault that was recently released, a distinction which the CR-T (sadly) does not share.

The Scout is a fairly useful axe, especially with the formidable MFC.

I bought it. Fun mech. :)
