Did you already check if your firewall or anti-virus program blocks Hawken_ You may have to give Hawken the necessary permissoins. A player reported yesterday that he had make an exception for Hawken in BitDefender in order to be able to connect after the latest patch.

Did you already try finding the respective error record in Windows' event viewer_ Can you please post the exact wording of the error title and error description in this thread_ It might be something like "failed to poke firewall".

What is your anti-virus program_

Do you use a proxy_

Did you check if your ISP blocks the necessary ports_

You can try to change your port forwarding as described over here: https://playhawken.z...KEN-can-connect

I'd say change the port forwarding on the main router from your ISP. The steps to set up the portforwarding depend on your router so I recommend looking at the manual or searching for an online tutorial. You might find a suitable tutorial over here: http://portforward.c...ort_forwarding/

Ok, you can try this as well:
  • Open your AVG program.

  • From the Options menu, select Advanced settings.

  • In the left pane, select Exceptions.

  • In the right pane, click Add exception.

  • In the drop-down menu, select exception type - File or Folder.

  • Browse to HawkenGame-Win32-Shipping.exe (located at "C:Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonHawkenBinariesWin32" by default)

  • Select that you want to apply the exception also for other AVG components.

  • Click OK to save details of the exception.

  • Click OK again to save the settings.

Your problem is that Hawken can't connect to the internet. The solutions that I posted are the common solutions for connection problems. So yes, you should try these solutions.

Afaik "port mapping" is just another synonym for port forwarding (http://en.wikipedia....Port_forwarding). That means that you found the right feature.

Well, like I mentioned before: the correct steps to set up the port forwarding depend on your router.

I recommend to use the full range of ports ("7777-7797") instead of just using the three standard ports.

Can you please post the exact wording of the error code and error message in this thread_

Are you sure that you have no programs running that might interfere with Hawken_ => https://support.stea...=9828-SFLZ-9289
