If that was a G2 Rocketeer I would very mutch love this ability, but please don't change the abiliity of the current rocketeer... It is absolutely AWESOME in coop bot destruction. :)

Idea is good but, the proposed design is bad. Looks far to similiar to a lot of the old Robotech/Macross mechs, then Meteor/ADH will have Harmony Gold breathing down their necks like Pirahna did.

I'd have to say #3, #1 looks to much like the old Blood Kite from Mechwarrior, and #2 screams Dire Wolf which is pretty much the poster child for the whole Mechwarrior franchise.

That honestly looks interesting, almost reminisent of the vertical missiles from the older Armored Core games.

I will repeat a suggestion that I made in the thread about turret mode.

Multi-targeting turret mode.
In turret mode rocketeer's pilot can lock up to 3 targets with MMB and then fire hellfire missiles at all of them.
This would give rocketeer a unique battle style. Instead of focusing on one target like everyone else he could fight against groups and effectively hold choke points.

The scary thing is... I love both of these ideas. I want to see the current Rocketeer ability reworked so badly, but both these ideas are just too hard to choose between...

I remember I saw this and didn't like it, since the double homing missile weapons on Rocketeer already makes for super-easy targeting of multiple enemies at once.

Small announcement has two possible abilities for Rocketeer which logically would have looked at it: "reactive armor" and "air blitz."
In the coming days I will try to describe in detail what I mean.

Another variant of the special abilities for Rocketeer "reactive armor". Since he specializes in missile weapons, the most logical option for the development of his abilities would be "reactive armor" similar dynamic armor mounted on tanks.
Thus the essence is simple:
- This ability gives partial protection against missile weapons, grenades and mines (specific weapons listed in the picture: green - full protection, yellow - the damage will be partially applied Splash, red - ability will not affect the rest of the weapons).
- Radius which will be undermined by enemy missiles - 14 m (this radius and is due to the fact of the damage from the splash).
- Duration abilities - 7 seconds (to Rocketeer had 2/3 fired Hellfire).
- Recharge time 20 seconds.
- If the enemy is within close proximity (in the inner circle radius 14 m), the Rockets of the enemy (of green and yellow list of weapons) will be undermined once the shot (as if he shoots at the wall) and the splash will be injured and the enemy and Rocketeer.

How about this:

The special ability uses the same animation as the Incinerator's ability, minus the 3rd person view. It fires a volley of six missiles up out of the top of the mech that quickly turn forwards and fly towards where you are aiming. They have a similar random spread as dumbfired Hellfires, making them inaccurate and hit a wide area. They have a large splash area, but deal relatively low damage. They also leave a lingering smoke cloud where they hit.

Why is this ability should be at Rocketeer_ Because Rocketeer only Mech in the game not having instant-hit weapon (hitskan).
