Desktop: Dell 519

Processor: AMD 64X2 5200+ @ 2.70 GHz

Memory: 4GB

Graphics: ATI 2400HD Pro 256MB

FPS: around 5-8 frames.

Frustration Level: FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

According to this, despite my PC being far from gamer's grade (in my eyes at least), it does fall right around the recommended setup requirements in all areas except the Graphics Card, which is half of what I need even for minimum requirements.  To back this up, at 4GB I still have roughly .8 GBs left when the game's in the midst of a match, and even with the crappy card, the CPU usage only occasionally spikes at 90%, with average usage at a range of 50% to 70%.

Is there anything I can do to get it to a more playable framerate until I can purchase an affordable 1GB GFX upgrade (currently aiming for the ATI 5770 1GB)_  I've already dropped the graphics down to the pits of Hell and modified Windows (set up to use the WIndows 98-style theme to kill off the fancy-shmancy resource eating settings) so it won't pull much on the graphics card, but I'm still slogging here.

Phenom II B55 (4x 3.3)
8GB 1333MHz DDR3 memory (dual)
GTX 560 (no OC yet but coming up)
Settings maxed out. (hate the film grain though)

Performance report:
Steady 75 frames in 1280x1024 mode on an empty map, 30 to 40 when people fight. I assume it's the netcode, hopefully it's gonna get optimized further down the road.
gotta go slow

2 Ghz Dual Core CPU

AMD A6-3620 APU Quad Core Proccessor

8 Gb RAM

Windows 7

AMD Radeon HD 6530D graphics card

Runs at lowest settings with an unpleasing level of framerate. Outside of action it's fairly smooth, but when things really start blowing up the FPS drop is noticeable, if still fairly playable.

Anyone think I should upgrade the graphics card_  Got any suggestions_ Looking at the minimum requirements, I might need a better CPU, actually. I'd love to get this mech geek's dream game running at ultra-graphics and give me some eye candy.

Just got to play it for the first time today.  Was out of town :(

Gotta say I love it.

On topic; runs smooth(mostly) at 120fps with everything maxed.

Only drops I see is when there is a lot of explosion and specials(emp ect.)in the vicinity, like.. alot, Monitoring program said the lowest fps I saw was 68.

Core i3-2100
8 GB RAM
Radeon 6600 HD

Running the game with Ultra/High textures at 1920 x 1080, and I've yet to notice any framerate issues. Then again, I'm not as picky in that department as some folks.

You wouldn't even notice a drop from 120 to 68. Not visually at least. That is so insane though, good for you, though. It's nice to see someone who'd go to such an extreme.

My rig is:

AMD Phenom II x2 550 @3.1 GHz
4GB DDR3 @1333
6870 1GB
Samsung 1TB HDD
Windows 7 x64

Getting severe performance hits even on low, FPS dropping to 20 and even 15 in firefights.

AMD Phenom II x4 965BE @ 3.7 Ghz
16 GB DDR3 (8 free, 2 for OS, 4x1Gb for HDD/SSD cache)
Samsung 128Gb SSD + 3 other HDDs
ATI HD7770 Ghz edition
W7 64bit

Game runs smoothly and never drops too bad in fps.

Core i7 2600K, overclocked to 4.4 GHz, along with a GTX 690.

Needless to say, it's overkill for this game. :P

Sorry, sounds like your GPU is far too low to play this reasonably. The CPU might be a slog on the game too.
The 5770 is an ace card. I have a 4870 which is basically the edition before the 5770. While the 5770 has a couple of tiny reductions on the 4870 in some areas, it makes up for it in others. It's not top of the range, but does play Hawken smooth and well IMO. Hope it does the job for you. :)

Yeah, my system is showing age.  I need to upgrade my motherboard, ram and video card at least.  Hawken runs alright though, on Med.  Starts to chug a bit during intensive fights but for the most part, playable.

Intel Core 2 Due CPU E8500 @3.16GHz

Finally got in a server.... oh dear, no improvement from alpha.

Phenom II x6 1055T OC to 3.4GHz
5870,
8GB,
Win 7 x64
ssd.

The framerate difference between min & max detail is small.

The complexity of the game's mechanics don't warrant the hardware requirements at all.
There must be something terribly optimized in the game logic for it to be eating so many cpu cycles.

Win 7, 64-bit
AMD x4 965BE 3.4ghz
4gb RAM
radeon 7850 (2gb VRAM)
128gb SSD, 10k RPM platter drive

I average about 50-60fps on max specs @ 1920x1080. Average around 40 fps @ 2K resolution, maybe 20-30 @ 4K on lower specs.
