I don't have this problem...
When you install the game and directx etc etc after restart, open e.g
C:HawkenInstalledHawkenFilesBinariesWin32 and open " HawkenGame-Win32-Shipping " and it works for me Q_q
when i started the launcher, meta error, then i tried again and it started downloading again...

Im not sure whats the issue  I managed to download and the game started up, however I went to check if it was online, but then i got this, it might be that they are working on the login servers.

MOST OF US ARE ENCOUNTERING THE SAME PROBLEM AND I SAW A LOT OF PEOPLE FROM EUROPE!
This tells me that the server may have a problem reaching the European server so we'll just have to wait till the guys working on the servers fix it...

same here, i tried to download it from my desktop it gave me this error, tried from the laptop and it worked!!__ but there is no point of installing it on my laptop since the gpu is a total fuzzy bunny

i also tried to use vpn didnt work also, its client issue not server issue since the download worked on my laptop but not the desktop

Ok guys and gals..
I somehow got it to install, after multiple metafile errors...

If you don't already have it installed, make sure you get .NET 4.0 Framework.
Check if Windows have already installed it with auto updates, if not - do a manual update of your windows.

I still think i'ts a server issue, but quite odd since I got mine to install.
And yeah, ofc you gotta uninstall Alpha install if you have that..

Sorry I can't find out why mine is working.

I have this issue too... before this, Norton said that the hawken installer gave my desktop 2 Trojans.... Losing faith meteor, losing faith fast....

Canada here, successfully downloaded and logged in, messed with the customization a bit but couldn't get a match because there were no servers online. successfully closed and reopened several times. Now bugged with the metafile issue same as all of you.
