I certainly agree with what he says about mechs and tanks. I actually came to Hawken from the recommendation of a contact who compared it to driving the Magrider in Planetside 2.

Aspiring Professional Yolodriver

Yeah, but dude, we are at 1750. As much as we would like to be Professional Yolodrivers like you [Meraple] and Lightangel112, we're not there yet. It's something to aspire to, sure, but there's a lot of ground to cover.

Very straight-forward assessment of the game, without any fan-boy or troll tint of many Forum posts, here.
And very informative of what honestly may kill the game, if the management style isn't reconsidered.
Not a slam show, not an Ooo, Gee, whooped-dee-doo, or Aw Sh!t. Just plain objective evaluation of the title.

+1

About the part where he decries all the contracted people from the art direction being fired. Well that's the rule now in this job. Graphists, modelers, sound designers. Being in a long term contract with a client is an exception to the rule sadly. As long as you can stick with the original artistic direction, there's no real creativity involved and it's more of a technical act. Thus you're easily replaceable if needed. I took interest in Hawken because the original sound designer of the game, Sean Neri, posted some stuff about his microphone techniques. He was employed by adhesive for 8 month.

I'm sorry. I couldn't concentrate on what he was saying, I was just so furious watching him not cap points and leaving points that he accidentally started to cap and letting them go neutral while he complained that his win loss ratio was bad that I just had to stop it...

I'm glad he stopped playing, I never want a guy like this on my team.  I don't even know if he could be taught...  I mean he was saying one thing and doing the opposite almost as if his default position is just to troll his own team.

I'm sorry. But, come on already.

Hawken needs people like him.  Hawken also needs a large chunk of his followers too if we are to reach critical mass.

Sometimes, there's no need to troll. Sometimes, you just think and talk like a normal human.
