+1 for adding Thermal and Night Vision.
+1 for making the map bigger and "give it a small tactical stealth element to it"
+1 for "night, rain, fog, snow, dust-storms, overcast, all kinds of environmental changes should be included, even if it's for a patch at a later date."

Having an option for red or green (other colors possible_) nightvision would be absolutely badass. I also think nighttime combat should be quite dark or the nightvision wouldnt be as appealing.

You can only see the mechs if they walk into the moonlight or ignite their thrusters.
Its hunter vs hunted vs hunter .

-1 for both thermal and night vision
+1 for torchlight... let's put a big 40 million candelpower light on mechs (and an on/off key)
.... then add some mutated zombies ... congratulations you're now playing Resident Hawken

But the gameplay would be especially interesting if you could see other peoples headlights as they roam around which would allow for some unique stealth scenarios.

Though in Hawken it kind of doesn't make sense not to have night vision implemented. These are mechs and, with the technology already implemented into them I'd cry if their manufacturers forgot something as vital as night vision, lol.

I could see lights on the mechs that could be switched on or off, at the operator's peril. Heat imaging which add another dimension to overheating your mech. The more you fire, the more visible you'd be on infrared. Stationary turrets would be more interesting too. Once the start firing, how would you know if you're being hit by a mech, or a turret_ This could add a lot more strategy to the game.
Winter mode was mentioned too. Not sure how it would play, but it'd be hilarious to see a mech slip on the ice and fall. I'm guessing nuclear winter might be more appropriate to this environment. The concept art doesn't make it look like mother nature survived.
