is there anyone else out there like me that has a pc ready and rearing to go on the 3d side of things if so whould llike to see a 3d support for this in Hawken,

I  don't like 3D but can' see how it would hurt by implementing it, there is always somene that will enjoy it.

yep, running lightboost monitor + Nvidia 3D vision 2 atm - would like the see fantastic Oculus Rift support more tho.

There are stereo drivers out there to render games in 3D. No needs for the devs to implement their own output options. Imma upload some gameplay in 3D soon.

FYI for those with nVidia gpus, you should update to the lastest beta driver:

lightboost doesn't hurt your eyes like V1 monitors did and the 3D isn't like the movies, regardless i only usually use it for RPG and not competitive play, slight frame dips when moving very fast can distract me and my GPU isn't he best on the market, being double image it uses double the resources basically, maybe if i had a 690 and even then it might still distract me - the reality of it is Hawken is being specifically modified to support the new Oculus Rift VR hardware, so i'm looking forward to that, being 3D aswell, i've always loathed the whole "its a gimmick thing" the people saying that are usually the people that don't have it, honesty 3D vision can bring such a life into some games, e.g. the original Witcher RPG, is like playing a movie, that said i certainly don't use it everyday and its not the greatest thing in the world, i use it once in awhile when i've had alot to drink or play a solitary game its also awesome for pornography

buuuuuuuttt, i'm going to try these new drivers SexyKate recommended now, they came out yesterday so i'll see how the framerate is ~ Spiderz

edit: so i had a go with the new drivers, the HUD is 3D now and its pretty impressive, although the red target boxes on enemies gets distracting and makes it harder to aim at the hitbox when the enemies are really close to each other or end up dodging, although i think with the Oculus the size of the screen will make it easier, probably wont be great as a sharpshooter, framerate was very playable on full ultra, better frames with some things tweaked.

Maybe in time this would be a nice addition but I think there are more important things to be look at first.

Colorized movies are a gimmick as well. It would be no big thing at all for the film industry to continue using grayscale and merely throw in cues here and there. It's all about immersion. The same goes for gaming... partly.

As far as gaming goes, I've actually run into situations that screwed me for not having depth field perception. Not many and not Hawken (yet), but having DFP is like having a high DPI gaming mouse and mechanical keyboard. Or are those gimmicks too_

As for your so-called headaches, I have yet to have one after watching through Avatar and The Amazing Spider-Man. I keep hearing about them and keep hearing about them and have never had one. I've also NEVER had motion sickness from a computer screen. Some of us don't have such weak constitutions as that, and if you haven't heard of us before now it's because we stay in the background as people who don't have a reason to complain usually do. That doesn't mean we're any less common than you. That doesn't mean we don't completely exceed and pale your numbers. It just means we're SILENT. What was the phrase_ Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

As for one of the lot here saying that the hitboxes throw you off, I'll have to agree... HUD objects like those are always a nightmare. That's where intrinsic support comes in, and that's where the devs are needed.

EDIT: Actually, after watching the Youtube video I have to say that the HUD isn't too shabby. It does seem a little awkward that it's set at a greater distance than the canopy, though.

If the devs had free time in the future I wouldn't mind seeing it, like said above someone would appreciate the effort. I wouldn't go for it personally, but more features would neve hurt a game unless it took away from more important developments.

3D mode sounds like a one way ticket to motion sickness in this game.
