But nooooo, no one comes to check my profile. I tell people in game the same. In over 3 years and telling hundreds to check it, 2 yes TWO, have come to look. Sigh........... I was deadly tired when I wrote that, but with painfully beautiful it can mean that we acknowledge his sexiness, but naturally begin comparing ourselves to the person described as so sexy.

What I meant is "he's so beautiful it hurts", just like watching the full glory of the sun with bare eyes will hurt, witnessing the full glory of Berg's handsomeness straight on cuts deep into my soul.

I'm trying frame this in a way that's both respectful and critical.

 

There have been gun threats and stalking charges. Two separate people. Approximately 1% of our population being pants-on-head is too much for me, particularly when the people I know offline have on the regular had to deal with the fallout of these things. 

 

It's not paranoia, but I am happy that you have not had to go through anything that would shift your weltanschauungs from viewing it as such. It's understanding that not everyone is who they claim to be.

BTW I've spent quite some time playing or chatting in streams with a bunch of people here who I consider more than just "gaming teammates" and I'm curious to see how they look.

If some of them could come to a Paris Games Week or any other event I'd be glad to have a drink with them (non alcoholic and with parental advisory if required). I was into table top gaming a few years ago and one of the good point of such games is the social part of it compared to video games.

I wasn't making fun of you, I just wasn't sure if Aregon meant something else or if I was somehow parsing that phrase incorrectly. I assumed he was going for "painfully beautiful" not "boringly beautiful"

In all reality though, direct violence isn't the only thing you have to worry about if you aren't conscientious about what you share. Harassment and swatting are trivially easy for any tech-savvy person who has your personal info, though the second isn't (historically at least; idk about in the current political climate) as much of a worry in the majority of Europe as it is in the US due to police forces here being significantly less conservative in their use of force. The only reason I was comfortable enough to post in this thread is because I compartmentalize my online activities and have no public presence on any social media. People here have my location and pictures, but that's not too useful considering those are literally the only pictures of me online and there are like 5.6 million people in Missouri.
