So I was just wondering is there a console command open for the community to use, and if so what are some useful commands that we could use? If not does anyone think we could change the status quo on this topic?

disconnect - disconnects you from a map/server (note - you can disconnect from your garage, which will boot you into... your garage. Seems useless, until you realize it resets syncing. for those of you with sync errors or erroneously sync times due to lost packets bad connections, etc., use this to restart the sync process)
exit - quits the game
togglevisor - removes/restores HUD (not cockpit, HUD only)
say <text> - says stuff immediately following the command
teamsay <text> - says stuff immediately following the command

Do we press the squiggly line? I've never opened the console command for this game so I don't have a clue what it is.

F5 for half screen persistent console
F6 for one line single-use console.

Hawken was made in unreal engine 3 so you can look at the included console commands on the epic games website here: https://udn.epicgame...leCommands.html
A lot of them have been either disable or just don't work. If you want to test them make sure you're prepared to re-download the client if you fuzzy bunny anything up. I advise backing up the binaries so you don't have to re-enter your settings every time.

You cannot break the client with any of the enabled commands.
The way Hawken is set up, there is an internal whitelist of commands that determines if a command even has the chance to run or not. If it's not on that list, it's not going to work. The majority of commands you will find are not on that whitelist.
If someone wants, I could post the whitelist. Nothing really bad in there. Most stuff is useless.

ps. togglevisor is useful, IMHO, if you like to play some of HAWKEN in the most, let's say, puristic way... and for recording matches as well. ( And/or for demos, movie chunks, et cetera... you know...) :)
