So, I already have the EOC Pred, and I do pretty well. However, if would like to try EOC on other mechs. It is available for rocketeer, raider, and Infil. Which is best for a more aggressive Pred player that also plays Reflak raider?

I'm not qualified, but I would say EOC Infil might work with your Predator experience.

You pretty much answered your own question there.

 

Raider is THE agro mech, and if you already have some experience with the corsair and want another EOC mech the decision seems pretty straight forward.

EOC infil and EOC pred are the best EOC mechs as far as general effectiveness and skill carry over from other mechs. EOC Raider and EOC Rocketeer are in my opinion the hardest mechs to play in Hawken. If playing them in a high mmr lobby. All are very honerable choices. They will lead to much frustration, much respect from other pilots, and few moments of....fuzzy bunny I just rekt that person into next update.

The only eoc mech I consider viable is eoc infiltrator.

Id say for you infiltrator would be much more comfortable compared to raider.

EOC Rockie is definitely the most masochistic of the four.

Come to think of it how it used to be my first mech purchase and weapon unlock... but back then those weapons used to be decent, even OP.

I didn't take it into account because I refuse to acknowledge the existence of EOC Rocketeer.

I wouldn't recommend eoc rocketeer or raider to any new player. I wouldn't recommend eoc rocketeer to anyone. It is a complete waste of time and effort. 

 

If you are talking about the mechs in general. I recommend whatever mech you find the most appealing to you based on the description.

i feel like the eoc rocketeer should have some sort of niche with mine-spam ground suppression and hellfire air suppression, except for that both are (statistically) terrible  weapons.

Rocketeer was the first mech I was able to get eoc on. It still holds a special place in my heart, and it's how I'll usually play if I use Rocketeer. But that's not often.

The timing of the eoc works well with the hellfires in corner play and you can use one to lead to the other hitting. I find the eoc much more effective when I have an opponent wasting dodges for missile locks.

Still, Infil rocks eoc best.

I'm trying to use the EOC rocketeer recently, I really have issues in coop TDM as those fuzzy bunny bots dodges everything

I find that EOC firing mines one after the other doesn't help hitting things, specially when fully loaded.

I'm using eoc infil sometimes (my main weapon = Heatcannon)
release grenade, direct hit 6 pucks to enemy, another grenade, and BUMM!!!
very nice to chasing A class mech or low health enemy.
after that use cloaking abillity to retreat from battle arena

EOC Raider is one of the "hard to master" mechs in Hawken imo. My biggest problems with it are:

 

1. I tend to cover floor and walls with mines instead of aiming for direct hits. Oftentimes I end up blitzing into my own mines because I wanna get upfront to land my mirv. For example: Origin. I am at half HP. I cover the AA with mines. Suddenly someone with low HP pokes around the corner. My first intention is to blitz forward and finish him off with a KLA and one or two EOC hits. But I might step on my own mines while taking a finishing blow by the opponent. So I stay back, switch to the KLA rocket mode and try to hit him behind cover. He either repairs, escapes or waits for my Rocket to miss, jumps over my mines and attacks me. A failsafe internal definitely helps in situations like this to reduce the damage done by your own mines, but I prefer beneficial internals over compensating, so...

 

2. Even if I manage to land some direct EOC hits AND land my KLA in rocket mode, I am screwed against flyers with Air Compressors. 

 

I don't play Rocketeer. Nope. Not even in "Michael Bay" mode. 

 

EOC Infiltrator is my choice. Because it is (-prrrrrt-) so rewarding to pave the place with mines while bouncing grenades around the corner.

Harder to predict, better at distance. AND cloaking :)

EOC Raider is so powerful and tons of fun to play .i prefer heat Infil .
