EDIT : Event no longer has any purpose to exist since atlantic servers are down.

 

 

Here is the main idea :

 

Atlantic servers are a good idea but everytime I check 'em they are empty. So the purpose of this event is to organize a meeting (the time and date would be debate so the maximum number of players can join) for american players and eu players to play together. This meeting could be the little help that would keep Atlantic servers busy (that's what I hope).

For the event itself, I had the idea of servers moved to private so every player from any mmr could join. Administrators would be named from both America and Europe, and they could switch the gamemode in anyway they want, depending of the number of players in the actual server, or the wish of the players themselves (the schedule could even be debated before and pined on forums). Just like some clan srim but with people that want to meet pilots from the other side of the ocean.

I have talk to this to no one but if you want, I can ask help from Dr Freeze (that's the kind of pilots I had in my head to be an admin during the event) or some other mighty pilot. I just don't know how busy they are, and if it's useful to bother them if it's not going anywhere.

Tell me what you think about it. If you're interested in participating, write what day of the week and what time (using UTC time http://time.is/UTC) would be the best. I hope Tiggs and Josh will pay attention to this topic so they can make a decision about opening the servers.

Our practice now starts at 19 UTC. So it's only 30 minutes that is skipped. For one sunday. This isn't supposed to be an event that happen every week!

As many of you guys probably know already, we at MIM suggested this in order to check and see how many aspects of the new Region performs at first hand.

 

Just as an extra advice: Try inviting USA pilots to join in these events as well. So we finally see and check well on whether these Atlantic arenas may be a good common arena on which compete pilots from USA and EU continents all together.

 

That was our main point at MIM in the moment we publically suggested that in the House.

I just checked your MIM thread and now understand what you meant. But as you can see in the picture above I contacted Tiggs in September the 25th. So no, I didn't know you suggested that.
