I don't get it. He's off the charts. Please tell me he's a smurf?

I played against him in siege and he was as good as someone with a thousand but he only has about 50hours of gameplay?
I can imagine a "new" guy who played 50 hours got good but...
He was not just carrying the other team he was destroying everyone. 1300 score while everyone was 500 and lower...

I'm curious, not accusing. Just want my brain to heal from post traumatic virtual psychological intimidation

It's not my smurf, but it's a smurf.  The only account with a Scout that has playtime is my main.

We have millions of smurfs in hawken, don't be mad you lost or had unbalanced match because of that.

 

If a veteran is starting a smurf account, he also will have huge amount of Hit Accuracy, because he had to play againts new/unexperienced player who are standing still, won't dodge much or just walk past you, so easy targets.

The vet in question has had that acct since LONG before smurfs were fashionable.  Also, I think the best of us is about 68-70% with TOW and maybe 49-51% with miniflak.  Anything higher is probably an aimbot.

Ehhhn, considering people's propensity for pitchforking and the general tone of the OP's post, as much as I hate smurfs a certain degree of obfuscation could be seen as warranted.

So long as you're not a fuzz, there are certainly channels where you can get the information quite easily; it's certainly never been an issue for me.

Considering the purpose of this account, and the pilot behind it, fret not. This pilot has no ill intentions, but he should consider another smurf, as the stigma that follows his main seems to be catching up to this account.

Eh I don't really care, playing on a smurf account just makes the game worse and screws up balance even further.

 

Getting sick of whenever I sign onto Hawken I'm running into more smurfs than I am actual skilled pilots because people seem to think it's acceptable to use multiple accounts to stomp noobs and in general be a jackass by screwing up balance.

 

I know I'm in the minority here, since the very beginning of Hawken I've been one of the few saying players should help balance matches by not doing stuff like this but it continues to happen and get worse. It's no wonder new people don't stick around Hawken long when this kind of behavior is not only acceptable but people actively work to keep this "secret" of who is behind the account or not.

 

Quit being an ass and just get on your normal account.

An alternate account is not necessarily a smurf.

 

Also if an alternate account is made with the intention of actually using it longer than a few hours the MMR of the alt account will be pretty close to the persons main account after a fairly short amount of time. So as long as a person is not making a new account every few days it will not matter to matchmaking what account they are using since match making uses MMR and not an accounts name to make matches.

 

The game the OP was talking about would have had the same outcome whether not not this player was on his main or an alternate.

Thats an interesting statement.  If he was on his main the balancer should of constructed the teams differently, assuming he didn't join late, which probably wasn't the case though.  That would of made it slightly more difficult for the player in question, but I agree, it wouldn't of changed the outcome.

 

We need more team in a team based game, instead of just the best player in the lobby carrying everybody on his team to victory.

While I do not know meleefanatics intentions in playing with this account I find it silly to imply the account was being used in order to manipulate match maker into letting them play with less skilled players due to the current MMR of meleefanatic and also that he probably would have been placed into this game regardless of if this alternate account or the main account being used. If it were the case that they were trying to play with substantially less skilled players it would make much more sense to be using an account around 1800-2000 MMR or even lower so that the server browser could be used in order to play with the least skilled opponents as possible.

I see. So If I smurf and drain the few ones still playing to get my alt back to my main's 2100, I would have zero impact.

Please show me exactly where I said there would be zero impact (I assume you mean impact on player retention but if not please clarify).

 

What I will say is the impact alternate accounts have on Hawken is negligible when compared to the real issues that have been ongoing for around two years. For higher level players at this point in Hawkens life simply playing the game whether it is on a main account, an alternate account or a smurf will have an effect on lesser skilled pilots because there are simply not enough people playing of any skill level.

lol im the culprit. haha you guys assume way too much. i bet most of you didnt even bother too look at my MMR. if you had you would have realized my alt meleefanatic has a higher mmr than 99% of the community. matchmaking is still the same trust me lol. and i made this account like 2 years ago. i know only like 2 other people will understand what its like to build up your mmr over the course of a couple months only to lose half of the work in 1 10 min game. goodbye months of playing. none of you will understand how this feels so you couldnt possibly comprehend why i would make an alt where im not FORCED to carry a team or risk having my ranking drop. i can just waddle around and have fun and not care about the score. to anyone that says well just stop caring then, to be honest thats why your not one of the best players in the game is that fuzzy bunny* mentality right there. just being honest here thats why you will never be as good as the best in this game
