THIS is what I have thought as well but in some blog post from a BF3 dev they stated it was meant to be like that. (DOn't ask me for the source tho, this is years ago.
EDIT: But not every death-face of them is expressionless and they actually do show expressions :)

You can't deny that BF3 was eve nclose to be a bad game. It was well above average and I still enjoy it today from time to time :)

Meh, never played, never cared. Never been a big fan of CoD and BF franchises, been much more of a strategy person and massive battles (Planetside 2 bby), where the individual means less and the teamwork more.
And I suck at games like those anyway so eh.
