This is a game where players can make hackers ragequit if you play it right. I've seen it done before several times.

Look's like u would wont there name were u could watch them your self in the game so yall going to do noing about the hackers?? u can see them on replay they never miss just let no if hawken not going to stop the hacks i wont put no more money in this game. O i have looked ever were   were is the support froms at  link plz.

Don't tell the community the names because it accomplishes nothing. Get video evidence and submit it to the devs via support ticket so real action can be taken.

And quite honestly I don't see many hackers these days. I find that most of the time they're just good players who have excellent aim. Not to say they don't exist, they're just few and far between in my experience.

Even then if you play it right and know how to deal with hackers in game, it is 100% possible to outplay hackers and make them quit. I've seen it done before.

Being the fuzzy bunny that I am, I can tell you that me and most people here give 0 fuzzy bunnys about whether you put money in the game or not.

 

If you don't realize that the new dev team is yet to hire a programmer then I shouldn't talk to you anyways.

I would agree they are few Silver. I'd say in the last month since I've been here. Hmm I'd say 4 or 5 definitely, and few more that were very suspicious. BUT that is 4 or 5 too many. And If I've seen say just 4 and you just 1, that is 5 and how many more did others see? And there is at least one in EU that has been wandering around there for awhile now. So for the most part I'm glad people are paying enough attention that it is keeping them (cheats) way down below a roar  :D That is a very good thing. Now if we can just get the hitscan to register when I shoot someone with 10 missiles and they are not dead.........sigh. Well if it wasn't that it would be something else. Life loves to throw curve balls at you.

U no for this to be a steam download game it looks like it would have the VALVE ANTI-CHEAT on it  why not?? and is it going to be on it later??.

It did not have Valve anti cheat beacause the former devs had their own in house anti cheat system. With the new devs, I'm not sure how they're running things hacker-wise, if they're using the old system, nothing at all, or their own system.

Also, the game did not start on Steam. Steam was kind of 'spot welded' into it when the previous publisher went defunct and the former devs had to find a new system for people to buy MC and distribute any game patches

Hawken has a great community and most of the players know each other. If someone hacks, it's not for long and they certainly will not rise up in the ranks w/out being reported. 

 

A lot of us (myself included) have put in hundreds of hours playing and we don't tolerate players coming in and ruining a game we love.

Honestly man, I have been in matches with you crying "cheater," when there is no one in the match whom I would even consider of playing suspiciously. Some people are just really, really good at this game and can make you feel like you have no chance at all against them. A skilled scout pilot using scanner can seem totally omniscient. I got accused of cheating the other day when I blew up a cloaked pred when in fact I just knew where he was, because I'd seen him cloak one second earlier, and I correctly anticipated his movement. Plus I could see his blur anyway. Learn to do stuff like that a lot, you'll start getting Hackusations too.

 

Actual hacks are kind of rare. They do happen, it's just far, far more likely that you are just playing against someone who simply outclasses you.

 

Work on timing your dodges and keeping one eye on your radar, learn when to run and when to fight. Think if what you are doing is causing you to appear on radar. Listen for the sounds of a scanner or scrambler nearby. If you're fighting in a crummy location, move somewhere else. 

I have also been called out for "hacking" several times (in multiple games, too) - and I'm not even anywhere near the best of the best (my skill level resides around the 2000 mmr level). I think many people believe there are more hackers than truly exist in many games, due partially to good players being falsely accused because they are skilled. I'm by no means saying that hackers are non-existent, but it usually isn't as bad as people make it out to be.

Lolno. But let's assume it was that easy. Valve is willing to implement VAC on this game.

 

Which requires a code rebuild.

 

Which the devs can't do at the moment.
