This is an online only game. If there is going to be any inclusion of bots (which I know they would put hard work in to) I'd most likely be some sort of co-op. That would be a great expansive future release.

I'd love a coop mode played out similar to LoL or dota 2, I think it would fit really well with the slowish moving players.

Yes, I want it. No, it's never going to happen. They've publicly stated that the game is an online multiplayer title. It's simply not worth the thousand upon thousand of hours needed to create a single player campaign.

It's great to give the game a storyline and make a more immersive experience of it, but it's pretty hard to imagine how that would work for this kind of game.  Just reusing the current maps and making you fight bots would be really dull and pointless.

But one thing that could work is a stealth/survival mode where you do behind-the-lines type missions against an overwhelming enemy presence.  You have to use surprise and mobility to survive and carry out objectives like sabotage or hostage rescue.  You would start with a basic mech and get access to money and upgrades as you complete missions.  There might be some missions for specific mech types too, so people who've never used a heavy before would get some experience with them.

I'd buy it, anyway.

Although SP sounds pretty cool to me I definitely would prefer first to have more maps and other basic r core stuff available in the game..

Well it could earn them extra $$ if they make people pay for campaign. Otherwise that kinda stinks.

The "why" choices in this poll don't fit my line of thought. I would like a single player mode because it would give players a chance to play with different mechs and master the basics of piloting in a low-pressure environment. There's is the tutorial mission, but I would prefer a stage that I can use any mech on and where all my abilities are unlocked from the start. A single player mode would let players get good at the game before jumping into multiplayer.

multiplayer is basically quake.

it's much more interesting to frame your experience around a story.

Single Player would be nice, however it may take a lot more work than it will be worth seeing as how I cant see anyway how they can make any profit from including a single player game mode. Plus, this being a multiplayer game I just don't see that happening.

Co-op sounds great, putting a group of players against waves of AI controlled mechs would be fun to some especially with different levels of difficulty. But like others may have said, lets wait until we have worked everything with the multiplayer first before they even consider adding bots to it.

As for the Story, I got nothing....

If you don't really know the story I suggest checking out the comics on comixology. They contain The information about the game.

Love the game, but only shooting red baddies all the time may get dull. Perhaps having a fairly hard single player mode that lets you unlock secret parts or single player only skins and what not, time invested and all that. I wouldn't mind buying adventure packs or something like it, that have prizes in them for beating them. Even like mech driving lisences or something that let you get something for free if your good enough. Unlocking the items in them for free after purchase of adventure pack or mission pack would be cool. Give people a sense of acomplishment and permanance.

The game has a story. And I think it can make an AWESOME single player mode.
But it must have a few conditions to be added:
-Make it long. I wouldn't like finishing it quickly, and most people either.
-Add cinematic scenes to it.
-You use your mechs and your items on it. Altough you can't earn xp or hc for the multiplayer mode(that would ruin the system)
-It has to be an option. There are people that only like pvp.
-Make it dramatic. "Make us real pilots" as I say. Everybody likes immersions.
-Each mission needs different things happening. We don't want it to be boring.

And most importantly:
Add it later. I'm serious. It would be an amazing thing to the game, but we don't need it now. The dev's must focus on improving the multiplayer first. And then, when everything is finished, they can add it. ;)

If they want to add something like an online co-op vs. AI or single-player DLC, I'd pay for it.

Great ideas. I wish the developers would be looking at this and my ideas for Single Player and Co-op. But how about each mission you finish you get 30 HC (3 Missions), then everytime you play that mission again you get 15 HC_
