Secondary looks like it could spin up, but with magnetic propulsion system for increased power at close range. Maybe generaltes lots of heat really fast. So like a more beefy vulcan_

They said good burst though, so likely it may be an explosive.

I hope the secondary is some kind of shotgun. It's kinda weird now that the best CQC mech is a Sharpshooter.

Haven't figured that yourself yet_ Hug people, their secondary is useless (and primary sometimes too), bang-bang. No god involved.

I was about to write an angry response, when I realized that this is the internet.

E: also:

  • Projectiles fired at point blank range will now cause damage.

therefore, your argument is invalid.

It addresses projectile weapons like hellfires or grenades going through the enemy at point blank. You'll still damage yourself with the splash still making the weapon useless. So, it is your argument which is invalid.

last time I checked, a bullet is a projectile.

but w/e,  you already came in here with the mindset to prove me wrong.

apples are vegetables <- there you go.

In hawken there two types of weapons: projectile and hitscan. Projectile weapon produce projectile while firing, which actually travels and it damages the enemy only if these meet at the same place at the same time. Hitscan weapons do damage at the moment of firing if aimed at the enemy.

If you were right there would be no reason to mention in the patch notes the word 'projectile' at all, as EVERY weapon in Hawken fires some kind of projectile - there're no lasers, wave generators, black hole summoners portal or gravity guns. Also there's no mention of damage to who is it. To the enemy - is obvious answer, to user - much less so. Which makes your point to seem less valid too.

Any of the people excited about this new mech but lack the credits to buy it can use this code if they haven't already. The code is this: HAWKENEC3

This code grants 5000 HC. Enjoy. ;)

I'd rather wait for patch to come. Hawken ingame descriptions proved to be vague and confusing if not outright wrong. It's possible that patch notes are too. You may still be right :}

They said its got burst, so I'm thinking the secondary might be abother explosive with some bkind of weapon utility. The primary might be hard hitting and slow rof.

It would be interesting if our mechs were actually locked to the companies that make them. For instance, if you're on the Prosk side, then you can't select the Raider.

That primary looks like a flamethrower to me... No clue what to make of the secondary.

Why_  I think it would cause some good strategic thinking. It would make the flavor text actually meaningful. Several mechs wouldn't be affected, since they're made by both companies. It would force some people to switch up their mech selection instead of sitting in a rut.

It would mean you would need two sets of mechs that would preform more or less the same thing, this makes it harder to balance, and it wouldn't force anyone to do anything, the players would just switch to the side that hosts the mech they want to pilot, causing stacking.
