i might have a few ideas for nice designs.

Edit: i can't seem to find the fine print. Quebec is often not allowed to participate in such contest due to specific laws.

Damn, those are some pretty awesome prizes! I probably can't compete with some of the community's more experienced artists, but it certainly couldn't hurt to fire up GIMP and give this a whirl. :D

Is this a contest for Hawken Designs... or a contest for T-Shirt designs_

This hasn't exactly been made abundantly clear in the contest guidelines.

It's a design for T-Shirts. From the MightyFine contest page:

Now it's your opportunity to build your own imaginative concepts into the HAWKEN universe for what you think would make the most awesome T-shirt design.

Checked out the submission kit that SilentJacket mentioned and also pulled this from the file submission upload description:

This file MUST be 1000x1000px JPG, GIF or PNG and under 250kb. All designs:
  • are recommended to be no larger than 15” x 19”
  • must be either vector art or
  • a resolution of at least 300 DPI.
