So with this new Mech Progression and level up rewards system...is it retroactive_  I've got my prized lvl 30 Berserker sitting my garage and I'd love what awesome gear I'd get to outift it with without starting over.

IIRC on the episode of The Cockpit when Hughes revealed the details of this patch, he mentioned that all changes would be retroactive.  So you're not going to lose progression when they migrate over to the new systems.  I would assume it's why Hughes mentioned a couple posts ago that they've been doing extensive migration tests to make sure nothing gets lost.

You have a level 30 mech_ I smell a hax!

And you won't have to start over, you keep all xp and get a refund for items and stuff.

The only thing I want to see done to the tech is to have its damage output reduced. the hawkens rpr and vampire beam removed. It's a healer so let it heal. I it should not be able to hang at all in a one on one.

No mech should be able to heal the person you almost had dead to near full health in a matter of seconds, and then turn on you and start attacking. If any other mech were to show up to that fight I would simply finish the low health guy and then focus the new one and take him down.

An important question: after this patch, you will be able to change primary weapons during the match _

Yes.

Jumping for joy!

I have missed this function so much!

There are some maps where I find I prefer certain weapons (like heat scout for bazaar) and I can switch to what feels best again!

Instead of looking at the Technician as overpowered, I'd suggest to look at it this way...

Look at it as if it's a tick that you pass around to your friends to suck the tech magic out of it, a Tech Tick.
If an enemy comes near you, you throw said tick at him/her because it's funny if your enemy dies to that.

If this happens to you, then kill it... kill it with fire . At least that's what I do anyway, kill the technician first to fix the healing vampire problem.
It's not the C-class's fault that B-class also struggles a lot with the overpowered A-class. I'd wish that they would nerf A-class instead of making C-Class better and leave B-class as the next thing to work on >.<

Flamethrower OP.

A good DoT weapon (even better, an item) would be the perfect anti-tech weapon in my opinion, pretty much negates self healing and has a large psychological effect to it. More so if the DoT is a very large and intense looking weapon graphically, not only would the tech be more worried but so would the person he's healing.

Another week, another week of work completed!

We are spending a bit more time testing migration than we originally intended; we want to make sure that it's as solid as possible to ensure we don't unintentionally fuzzy bunny over our players. When there isn't an aspect of the game that has a direct 1 to 1 between the old system and the new system, we error in favor of the player so those who have been supporting us all this time will have a pretty decent inventory when this update hits! Our patch to HAB in order to get additional help with migration testing was delayed due to some bugs and other needs and we intend to release it this coming week (instead of this past one). This also means the public release of the patch is now being targeted for not this week but the week after! It's really close everyone.

Also, I'm afraid to say that we've decided to hold back clan support for one additional update so we're hoping to have that launch with Co-Op Bot Training in the update after this one. September, I'm looking at you. It's never an easy decision but when closing out a project sometimes you have to hold something back for the good of the other features when you only have a finite amount of resources.

We also hope to have patch notes out this coming week (we're STILL editing and writing them), along with a migration guide so players will have a better understanding of where their stuff is and what all this new stuff is! Lots of stuff! STUFF!

I'm not in the office this weekend but I'm still going to try and get on the forums to answer questions! Thanks everyone.

I think it was mentioned on the Cockpit, if not elsewhere, that the HAB is something they intend to use throughout Hawken's lifetime. So yeah! There should be a HAB 3, it's just a matter of when.

Even if you're holding the clan support back an extra patch for live, can the devs at least add clan management and general clan support to the forums_ I'm not part of a clan (not sure if I want to) but I'm guessing more than a few people in clans would at least like that option to make up for the additional delay. This way, clans can already be organized in the official Hawken fashion by the time the clan support patch hits!
