First of all:
The transmission:
It is from some outpost (Sentium frontier outpost)
lost contact with recon squad
Means that something obviously went wrong
Then they send a transmission with the last know nocation, followed by a request of reinforcement, before the sender of the message apparently dies (that's what I assume)
And then a jungle picture with what's left of one mech is visible...
My guess:
Introduction of the PVE mode they said that would come in the next patch
It'll most likely be a cooperative mode where you have to repel waves of enemies (COD Black ops/black ops2 zombies, Mass effect 3 MP, something in that direction)
And don't get you hopes up too much for jungle (pvp) maps, most of the trees will be background anyways (to keep the gameplay smooth)

1. i can live with the fact that buildings on other maps are made out of super futuristic materials and they are very sturdy. but if we will have a jungle/forest map with trees, plants and other foliage that is invincible in this kind of game it would be very lame...
2.my biggest problem is the scale. As we all know Hawken is a game about big mechs fighting each other (not mw kind of big but still). From the ingame garage and topics on forums here i think that we can agree that A class is around 3,6meters tall and C class is around 5.8meters tall. I fear that the plants and other foliage on this new map will be in size like those mechs were real humans (plants looking as big as plant to a human). The game is already lacking a good perspective and scale feel. the maps doesnt look like natural environment for normal people with big robots. it looks like an environment made just for those robots like the ppl are only moving around in them. yeah i know they have added lamp posts small cars and vehicles and other stuff that can be crushed and give a feel of a bigger scale but they all look very lame, cheap and unrealistic (in size). every other environment element lacks details to give the feel of a bigger scale. the only map that makes it any better is Front Line (but still not very satisfactory). The worst is Bazaar, rocks on the ground look like regular rocks and stones for a normal sized people, and it really feels like bazaar for mechs..
what i am saying is that the maps are lacking a good perspective and scale and that should be fixed by map artists. yeah yeah we can argue that this is "futuristic" game and the location can be on other planet where trees and rocks are look like this. but come on..how cheap is that excuse_
to sum up: map art sucks, mech art rocks as of now, dont know if it is the same team
