Means instead of the radar map rotating as you move around and turn, the once animated picture becomes static. Always locked in one position and never moving, it seems to me at least more of a performance option then anything really beneficial.

It would appear the point of locking the radar is for the benefit of players who call out standard directions, such as North, South, East and West. I don't think there is any frame rate boost to be gained from it.

I prefer my radar to indicate the enemy presence in relation to my orientation.

If I see a target at the top of the map, I expect that guy to be somewhere in front of me.
After disabling signatures I found my forum-browsing experience had improved marginally.

Hitting the spotting button is more manageable than locking radar rotation(it just gets disorientating).
Running directly to/from sniper fire means you'll die tired. Taking cover gives (Ke-)Sabot time to reload.

i try early change "UseFixedRadar=False" in config, it is totally unplayable =D
i can't understand where i'm, and where are the enemies XD
