The Berserker has 355 armor.

This is about 25% less than the weakest Medium mech, the Sharpshooter, at 470.

My logic dictates that I basically have no health and that I will basically die a horrible, miserable death if I so much trip and fall.

I pilot SMC 'zerker and plan on using Infie-chan again, but with the Heat Cannon instead.

Here is my current internals/items loadout for both:
'zerker:
Internals - Air Compressor (3), Deflectors (2), Basic Extractor (1)
Items - EMP Mk.II (3), Scanner Mk.II (3)
Infie-chan:
Internals - Air Compressor (3), Deflectors (2), Basic Fuel Converter (1)
Items - as 'zerker above
Techie:
Internals - as Infie
Items - Shield Mk.I (2), Detonator Mk.I (2), Repair Charge Mk.I (2)

Here's my planned changes:
'zerker:
Internals - Air Compressor (3), !! Replenisher (3)
Items - EMP Mk.II (3), !! ISM Disruptor Mk.II (3)
Infie-chan:
Internals - Air Compressor (3), !! Evasive Device (2), !! Basic Power Surger (1)
Items - EMP Mk.II (3), !! H.E. Charge Mk.II (3)
Techie:
Internals - !! Replenisher (3), !! Evasive Device (2), !! Basic Fuel Converter (1)
Items - Detonator Mk.II (3), Shield Mk.II (3)

Hello I have a question: I was thinking about using a Basic Fuel Converter on my Berserker/Infil but I see you are planning to remove it. Is it because it's not useful_ Or because the "Basic" gives too low fuel_ Or both_ Thanks in advance!

EDIT another question: why not having armor fusor on tech_ you get assists when someone you heal makes a kill and this means being repaired for free...

I tried putting it on my Scout, and it was completely useless. I would very much not recommend it.

That's what I do, along with a Replenisher. It's great for me.

You don't really need the air compressor on the infiltrator, its more of a stealth mech (although I have seen plenty of good aggro players) and if you plan on using the heat cannon with it, you can hang back farther away anyways.

I wouldn't put a converter on light mechs. The converter gives you fuel based on the damage you take and in a light mech, damage isn't something you want to recieve a lot of. It's better used on mediums and heavies.

Fuel converter works if you plan on getting hit... not a good item for a squishy A mech

Fuel converter is for zerkers so they can stay in the air longer...

Yeah, but the amount of time in the air you get out of the damage you take in a berserker is not worth the damage you take. Besides, you're much better off dancing in the air, dropping behind cover, dancing back into the air after a quick fuel regen. Keeps you flying, exposes you to less fire.

An Air Compressor on the Infil is a must. With the Heat it helps to be a bit higher up. So getting a first jump shot is huge then having an air dodge to save your rear burners.
