Especially for a game that has AAA assets and tech... and devs who can't implement them efficiently.

Everyone in the current beta will be getting a free oculus rift to help test out the new features, and Hawken will become the greatest 3d virtual game there ever was.

d6chung isn't really relevant to this discussion. He recently returned to irc and he was checking something on the forums as part of a discussion that was happening.

The "Administrator" account is most likely an account used by IP who actually hosts the forums. I've previously seen that account when the forums have broken before and when I asked about it the response was basically "IP broke something". So I assume that's what is happening this time, but I haven't talked to anyone about it this time.

Oddly enough, I bought another bunch of facebook stock for that exact reason.  Evil sneaky jerks are up to something sneaky and evil and it's been making me some dosh.

Also, and forgive me this toxic indulgence, but I've felt like we've been on a sinking ship for a good long while now.  The only differences between me and some vocal members is I know talking about it in those terms does NOTHING for morale and contrary to what seems to be popular belief, saying it does nothing to help whatever the situation is.

And I brought a pool noodle aka I can still have fun playing the game.  Plus I haven't seen what one hardy ad campaign would do for us.

Yes. You clearly have access to the opinions of "most people", a category in which by your definition, I am not included. You're welcome to think most people aren't here for the gameplay. I've been around a weeee bit longer and have more exposure to the community both in game and on the forums, and I would state differently, but barring the obvious flaw in what you said, art v gameplay is your call in terms of preference.
Furthermore, the pricing model has been very successful for quite a few games. If you have the predictive capacity to determine when something will or will not be a success, please, share it with the world. It would help.

That all being said, go make a better game.

Kinda agree with Razataz... Hawken could have been an awesome or exceptional game... but no.

I've actually been here since the alpha, so I am familiar with what a lot of people think, granted not all think the same, but I know what a lot of people think about the game. Can you give an example of a game with a similar pricing model that worked out_ Perhaps the model works for some, but the pricing was way over the top in Hawken.
