I really hope hawken doesn't get abandoned. It's such a great game and I dunno. I feel like I would be more upset at losing the time I put into the game instead of losing the game itself. Like a dorky example is if you have the original pokemon yellow version and caught all of them legitimately, and had your game stolen, well even an old game is relatively easier to replace than the hours you have amassed into it.

I guess what ticks me off the most is someone on the west coast of the USA, tweeting roughly every 15 minutes about fuzzy bunny going on in a whole different city that he has no affiliation/connection with, meanwhile ignoring the freaking riot going on in here which he was directly associated and involved with.

Put the phone down and respond to the people you represented please, quit ignoring things.  We have a right to know what's going on.  Ignoring it, prolonging it won't make things better.

I just realized he isn't going to read this, it's just a waste off time.

Exactly.

He obviously has time to pay attention, follow, and comment on a situation that likely doesn't directly affect his daily life. I mean, I myself am not pleased with the way things are going there, but it has effectively zero impact on my life. The genocide in Iraq, the fighting in Israel and Palestine, the civil war in Ukraine. All horrible things, and all so far removed from most of us that it doesn't keep us from our daily lives.

So if he has time to Tweet about Ferguson, he has time to pay attention to his customers.

Its his own personal twitter account, he can use it whichever way he wants to. Also i think its quite despicable to prioritize a game over what's going on in Ferguson irl.

So what if he is tweeting something on his personal account about an atrocity, that has nothing to do with hawken.

Yes I agree that there should be news about the game, but because he is talking about something else thats happening means hes not working_  I would disagree with this.  Think about it, in your daily life at work, do you not respond to txt you get to people completly unrelated to work or talk about gibberish that has nothing to do with work_ of course you do.

lets expound this farther, lets say he went out and took time to volunteer his time and effort in some relief aid somewhere in the world, and this left you with no work for the game, would you be mad at him cause he left his job to go save lives_ I doubt it, if you are human that is.

Now where I agree with we should be getting news about the game, I disagree that you should cross these 2 things over together, his personal life tweets with the game.

No, I compared a real life riot with a pseudo riot on the video game forums, not comparing it to a video game.

The situation there doesn't effect me in my daily life, plain and simple.  But what I tried to say is how can you care so much about something so far away and not care about something which you were directly involved ie your job_

There are valid points on both sides of this, though I think some things are being confused. Shosca, I don't know what you mean when you say "prioritize a game over what's going on in Ferguson." If he's actually helping, doing things with his time, that is indeed a valid point, but if he's just talking about it, it's hard to see how that's helping very much, if at all. I can't say he shouldn't use his personal account whichever way he wants, I can however say that he is clearly at a computer of some sort.
And I can clearly say that the community has been put into some level of turmoil out of want of contact with the devs. I can make the statement then, that it seems it would be more responsible for him to maybe, hold off on one of those tweets, and instead maybe just say, "Hey guys, I'm still here, we're still working, please have some patience. We'll be back to normal soon." or "Hey, ADH is closing shop for a bit. It was a good run."
It's literally the suspense that's killing us.

This is the thread in a nutshell. The people in this thread think that just because there are no updates, they are entitled to butt into people's personal lives and yell at them for everything that isn't them giving an update ON A VIDEO GAME. You have no right to do that. I don't care if info is public. You should NOT go around asking people to go by the office and check it out. You should NOT look up people's home addresses and phone numbers in an attempt to contact them. You should NOT take a look at someone's opinions on ongoing atrocities and think "Hey, this should be about me instead!". Everything is not about you. People are allowed to have their own lives.

Or we can all stop pretending that we go through our days 100% focused on our jobs at all times and that the devs arent normal people who are entitled to do the same with their time. Making sentiments on a situation on twitter takes far less time than formulating strategic vague repsonses to appease a distraught community. While I agree that a little post here and there to let us know they are still here it seems thats not their intention at the moment.

There are alot of things going on in the world that should have peoples attention:

• Missing Malayia airline MH370, which is still missing mind you for past couple months now. o.o
  
• Speaking of airlines, Malayia airline flight MH17 being shotdown in Ukraine, I wonder if this could start WW3.
  
• Ebola virus is speading like wildfire, possible epidemic on the horizon.
  
• US just decided to go back to Iraq...again...........really.
  
• US,Europe, China & Russia seem like there turning into a powder keg when it comes to military/political relations.
  
• Thats just to name a few of course....Oh by the way, Fukushima Daiichi nuclear reactor has been spewing out radiation all over the world since the event happened in 2011 or so back and still hasn't been "fixed". Wheres the news on that huh_ Radiation readings are going off all over the west coast here from regular rain water.

Needless to say, I don't really care to much about whats going on in Ferguson right now but of course that only adds to whats going on here in the US anyway. To be blunt, the world doesn't look that "calm" as of late.
