Alright. Political talk needs to stop. Just nipping it in the bud. Just because the mods aren't around doesn't mean the rules suddenly aren't a valuable thing.

To be blunt - war has been historically a "popular" reset button.
Why should us think humankind ever learns from it's mistakes made in the past - since it tends to forget.

You should NOT go around asking people to go by the office and check it out. You should NOT look up people's home addresses and phone numbers in an attempt to contact them.
Nobody's trying to contact anyone by going to their home addresses and or calling their phone numbers, what kinda weirdo are you_

BTW, thats a great idea, thanks for coming up with it.

Anyone in the LA area up for a tiny road trip to check in on the ADH offices_  Would be interesting to see if they were empty of people, or completely empty of everything in general.

Making sentiments on a situation on twitter takes far less time than formulating strategic vague repsonses to appease a distraught community.
I'm sorry, but saying "Hey. We're still here. We'll have a proper response for you in a week or so." doesn't take much time.

No it does not which is why I agreed in my post that they should be doing just that. But dictating what people should and shouldnt be doing with their time based on personal twitter feeds is a little silly wouldnt you say

Who's dictating_ It's not like any of us can force them. But I don't think it's silly to encourage them to respond to their community.

And before anybody goes, "What you're doing isn't encouragement."... Don't. Multiple definitions people. I'm using the neutral connotations, not the positive.

There are alot of things going on in the world that should have peoples attention:
  • Missing Malayia airline MH370, which is still missing mind you for past couple months now. o.o
  • Speaking of airlines, Malayia airline flight MH17 being shotdown in Ukraine, I wonder if this could start WW3. -_-
  • Ebola virus is speading like wildfire, possible epidemic on the horizon.
  • US just decided to go back to Iraq...again...........really.
  • US,Europe, China & Russia seem like there turning into a powder keg when it comes to military/political relations.
  • Thats just to name a few of course....Oh by the way, Fukushima Daiichi nuclear reactor has been spewing out radiation all over the world since the event happened in 2011 or so back and still hasn't been "fixed". Wheres the news on that huh_ Radiation readings are going off all over the west coast here from regular rain water.
Needless to say, I don't really care to much about whats going on in Ferguson right now but of course that only adds to whats going on here in the US anyway. To be blunt, the world doesn't look that "calm" as of late.

There's no way that any of the ebolaviruses currently in existence could cause an epidemic in a first-world country (though ebola is obviously a huge issue in Africa right now), and Fukushima is hardly a problem if you're talking about increased cancer rates from radiation exposure. You're not at a higher risk for cancer than you were prior to the tsunami unless you're living right outside/in the power plant for some inconceivable reason, and nuclear fearmongering like that is why we're still fuzzy bunny up the environment as much as we are with petrochemical-based power generation. But all of those things are vastly more important than Hawken, as is the situation in Ferguson.

I think a few of you seem to be confusing this thread about HAWKEN, on the forums about HAWKEN, to be about something other than HAWKEN.

If you want to discuss the abstracts of philosophy on politics and other unrelated topics, Off Topic is elsewhere.

This needs not go any further than, "If he has time to tweet, he has time to say 'Hey'."

This game is dying. Simple as that. Said it months ago and got crucified. I'll say it again. If the devs can't kill it, the upcoming arena shooter releases will. Toxikk with it's good marketing, Unreal Tournament with it's legendary name and Cliffy B's BlueStreak (name_) Which will surely have a competent development team behind it.

I think the developers gave up. My guess is the technical issues they were working on were too much, they last too many players during that time and couldn't develop any content to keep players around. The fact that today is Monday, a common work day for developers, and nobody can come in and do some damage control is telling enough.

Bring on Toxikk, Unreal Tournament and BlueStreak!

You know it wont stop there though. The second anyone from adh says hey there is going to be a barrage of questions, comments, insults or what have you. Alot of it justified but all of it they seem unequipped ,for whatever reason, to answer. Now as time goes on those reasons are less and less good ones but the vague responses will frustrate the community more. They seem to be taking the wait it out approach which from our perspective sucks.

Maybe he doesn't want to say "Hey", maybe he's likes like "I don't want to say hi to those hawken folks, there kinda jerks to me at times. I'm stay away and drink my coffee". This is valid. Might not be right, might not be that reasonable, but it is a legitimate reason to hold off.

That being said, they did sort of create that scenario themselves.

I mean, blame_ I don't know. Depends on how invested you are. I find blame to be be the appropriate word when you have wrongly lost something, either emotionally, physically, or otherwise. I don't know how much the need to "blame" someone applies here. It is a video game. It has a great community, but it is still a video game.

Perhaps, for some unknown update or agreement, staying silent is indeed professional.

Blame: To assign responsibility for a fault or wrong.
Fault: An unattractive or unsatisfactory feature, especially in a piece of work or in a person's character.

Lack of communication is something I would consider unsatisfactory, a fault.

Shush. Semantics. Might be the dictionary definition, but I'm just going on the context. Assigning blame in the context of the thread and atmosphere with which it was spoken didn't feel right to me.

Heard someone say Something along the lines like at least the devs should log in so at least you could play yhe game_ Last i knew nothing was wrong with the game servers and the game is running just fine.

Seriously a lot of you are acting like children. By this basically you guys are saying "hey dont take my toy away nooooo mine mine mine" lol for one noone has taken anything away. You can still play a great game. You can still post your opinions here on the forums. Nothing is being taken away from you.

Now i know you all want shiny new toys cause shiny stuff is cool. But noone is taken stuff away from you. You only feel like it has because you have gotten a false sense of entitlement. Adh has given you a FREE game to play that you can still play right this second as far as im aware.

For another noone "has " to provide you with anything if they dont wish. I know everyone wants news on a game they love. I dont fault you for wanting that but the way your approaching this is sorry but its pretty stupid.

Flame me if you want but faulting someone for posting their beliefs on something unrelated to the game in thier private lives yes theirs not yours is really none of your business just as i posted already before.

Yes i agree it wud be nice to hear updates but i can still play the game i like so hearing no news isnt the end of the world.

Yes you can "well if he can type something on ferguson he can log in to say hey to us" but for one wud you want to talk to yourself right now_ And two maybe there is nothing news to offer or they cant say anything right now. So loggin in to say hey here is another vague answer that we cant tell you anything will that help someone who is already mad at that very response they have already given you_

Point blankly people in general just grow up. They dont owe anything to you. Yes it wud be nice but should not be demanded. And definatly should not worry what someone is doing in their private lives

Sorry for typos and what not this is from my phone

Fred is sad hes not like the other robots
