I think the A.R. is way better than the Sub-machine gun overall; even when dealing damage close range. I would like to see the damage increased a little on the Sub-machine gun.

I'd rather the SMC have a little less heat generation, to avoid them overlapping in roles a bit too much. It already does have the capacity to fire for longer, but I did the math on it and it's not really significant enough to warrant its inferior DPS.

How long can the SMC fire vs the AR_

SMC fires for 15 seconds, (80 DPS/1200 damage total)

AR fires for 12.5 seconds (~88.9 DPS/1111 damage total)
