Made a few videos, one with MSI onscreen GPU usuage & FPS.
Ive been in the Alpha before this and the Performance was the same.
Hopefully Retail will have better performance for me.
Has anyone else uploaded a video showing their performance/FPS/Usage_ I'd like to see them.
(Recorded with AVermedia capture card, no Frames loss - these are the actual Frames i get.)

I usually have the FPS stats visible when I stream, but that's honestly not very reflective of typical performance as capturing/encoding/streaming the video takes a significant chunk of resources away from the game. For me, it's usually in the 30-60 FPS range while streaming, which is still perfectly playable. On its own, it rarely drops below 60.

Hmm.. I have a decent gaming rig, though it's not a hardcore overclocked SLI setup or anything... i7 2600K, 8GB RAM, GTX670, old SSD. I normally play on high settings with motion blur off. Resolution is 1920x1080 when I'm streaming, 1920x1200 when I'm not.

Do you think in your opinion that the performance im getting in this video is correct_ Because i can play all other games flawlessly on Ultra, and get a lot more FPS. I really hope its just something else overlooked. Because in an FPS game, i dont want to drop 1 single frame below 60 at all times.

I'd say some of those numbers look low for a triple crossfire setup, perhaps, especially once you turned it down to low settings. Are you sure there's no overhead in the capture process_

Note that you can see your actual FPS in game just by opening the console (~) and typing "stat fps".

wow 3 gpus and getting drops that low in fps :( I have an i7 3770K and a GTX 680 and I never drop below 55, even 55 is a rare drop, mostly sits at 60 and drops to 58 somtetimes during combat. Ultra settings @ 1920x1080. I could take a video but all I have is fraps/msi AB; so I would probably suffer some performance loss due to that. Maybe I should invest in a Capture Card, how much was yours_

I could make a performance test video...
Or I could just take a bunch of screenshots and make a slideshow with sound effects.
You wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

just made a video currently rendering in vegas, did 1 with the same settings you have and one with phsyX and higher AF (x16)

suffered a fps loss but not by much due to overhead of fraps :( tested combat with and without fraps and I lose an extra 5-10 frames during action while using fraps. Get little to no drops from 60 when not frapsing, a rare 57-58 drop if its a very open area with heavy combat or during my own death explosion as the camera changes to the zoomed out pan. Will add video to this post once its on youtube :D

Probably want to make it 720p and widescreen/fullscreen to see Afterburner FPS. Sorry the vegas render quality is low, I am having issues with vegas saying no system memory when it is only showing 30% usage -.- so I am forced to render low quality at this stage.

This one is the same settings as your game (4xAF):

2nd video of 16x AF and phsyx coming soon.

That performance is horrible for your set up.  I have 2 5850's in crossfire and get constant framerate drops even on High settings...Guna hazard a guess that the beta is not optimized for multiple GPU configurations.  Have you compared the performance with crossfire disabled_

This game has negative crossfire scalling. I had greater performance with 1 card active then both. There was supposedly a CAP for Hawken but didn't seem to do very much.

Hopefully either AMD or Adhesive address this issue

My rig is:

AMD Phenom II x2 550 @3.1 GHz
4GB DDR3 @1333
6870 1GB
Samsung 1TB HDD
Windows 7 x64

Now, I know it's not the fastest PC out there but I've just completed Medal of Honor: Warfighter on ultra settings (frostbite 2) and generally most games work great.

I'm having similar performance as OP, if not a bit worse. There is some difference between ultra and low settings, approximately 10 FPS lower on ultra. But even on low, my FPS ranges from 60 to 15. The lowest performance is on Andromeda, although is mostly like that on all maps, while looking at dense faraway areas and during firefights against one or more mechs. It's extremely difficult to play at times, as you can all imagine.

Not that I'm bitchin' or anything, I'm just curious if this is some specific optimization problem with Hawken or is my PC just not good enough.

I'm running on:

Intel i7-3770 @ 3.4GHz
8GB DDR3 1600
nVidia GTX 460
120GB SSD
Windows 7 64Bit

When I have had fraps on, I haven't had any significant drops below 60fps so I guess you guys are having an issue with multiple cards_

do you mean fraps recording your gameplay (red number) or just monitoring your fps_ (yellow number)

You should upload a video with afterburner overlay so we can see this :D

Wow this is saddening. I'm running:

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Processor: Intel Core i7-2600K Quad-Core Processor, 4x 3.4 GHz; Socket 1155, 8MB L3 Cache
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6870 1GB - CrossFire Mode (Dual Cards)
Main Memory: 16GB (4GB x4) DDR3-1333 Memory
Hard Drive: 2TB 7200rpm Hard Drive
Running 1920x1080 resolution

I've been playing on LOW settings just to maximize my framerate, on high and ultra it dips into the 30's and below. Next beta access I will try turning off crossfire and see how that works.

This game needs to get optimized for crossfire!

The game runs slightly better than it did before *ahem* but with an ATi card in the mix performance levels are (sometimes dramatically) poorer than nVidia cards, even with PhysX meshes turned off.  Add an AMD CPU into the mix and the performance hit is even more significant - to the point of it being a slideshow during intense online battles.  (I stress online because offline the game runs like silk.)

While offline mode was client enabled most people who saw dreadful performance online got to experience fluid gameplay of the kind the none-ATi/AMD players normally see, even with insane numbers of bots blowing up left, right and center.  There is something bizarre about the way Hawken runs multiplayer that causes as much as an 80% drop in performance when it matters most for some configurations.

Edit: AMD X4 965 | HD6870 | 8GB | Win7-64

AMD has to. Adhesive can't add Crossfire support to a game; it's something the GPU manufacturers do.

Unfortunately, since it is AMD, this means you're going to be waiting like 3 months for them to roll out an update with support for it. Case in point: Planetside 2 has had a SLI entry added and updated (Twice) in its beta test. Crossfire still has zero support.

It's the downside of going with a Radeon, kids!

For now, explicitly DISABLE Crossfire for Hawken. You'll likely get a boost in performance. Don't re-enable it until AMD actually rolls out an update that adds support for it.
