Are you sure? Something may be wonky. I think I was able to like 5 posts in this 24 hour period, and on the old forums I never once reached my like limit, and only one or two people ever mentioned reaching it in the past.

We really want the likes to be meaningful and not something that's just done because your friend posted. We'll see how it goes with the current limit and make changes as needed, sound fair enough?

That is not the point. There has been plenty of really good topics so far and great posts, you will be amazed at  how quickly it is blown through.  To be honest, the way things were handled on the last forums was not really too much of an issue.

If there is going to be a like limit, it would be nice to have a system where it tells the member how many likes they have left for that 24 hour period.

But srsly, there are a lot of posts that I like, both "friends" and "not friends", and I only like posts that are actually worth liking, and I'm out :(

This is true, I never once reached my "Quota" before now but there is something to be said for making them more valuable.

If my likes become worth less in the eyes of the community through overuse, that's a risk that should be up to my discretion.

Please consider removing the "likes" limit.  While I can understand wanting to assign "likes" more meaning, it's frustrating for users to operate through these restrictions - especially when we're not accustomed to them from the old forums.  I remember seeing it mentioned that the current limits are higher than those from the previous boards, but I cannot remember running out of likes through my time there.  Additionally, we're seeing threads and posts created at a faster rate than normal given the recent game announcements.
