I walked away from Hawken when I encountered several hackers within several consecutive days. I will be back though when an update in the form of a patch is released.

 

Until content is released Hawken will be considered a dead game.

I haven't heard back from them unfortunately. I PM'd them about a week ago. This website still says that they haven't read the message, but they could have just read the text through their backend without triggering that notification.

Can you prove they were hacking? did you record it?
If you didn't then I presume they were just better players than you. Too many people get butthurt by good players and call hax. I will only endorse hacusations with convincing video evidence.

Hawken should not be considered dead because content has not been released. It is being developed actively if you paid attention here you would know this. Hawken would die if buggy content is released because of people whinging on forums. Because then they'd whinge more about how bad the new content is.

I've paid money to play Hawken and I'm happy with how Reloaded is handling things, and will patiently wait for cool new stuff to buy...

I've run into more hackers this year alone 2016, than I have in the past few years combined. I'll play on, but it's not too good right now. It's quite silly.

^THIS ! I literally have been running into at least 1 aimbot a day lately. I'm very hesitant to level the hackusation claim but there has been zero doubt in my mind. I don't even bother submitting vids anymore since it never seems to do anything.

There's reports of a dedicated group of script kiddies who began this campaign of Hawken script kiddie delightfulness we're all seeing. I forgot which thread it was, but a script kiddie responded to something Poopslinger said regarding Luna. That script kiddie mentioned that they had interacted with Luna and that Poop "wasn't very respectful to women", so - who would have guessed - the white knight is strong in them.

 

Anyways, keep in mind that by complaining we're giving them the attention they probably want - either for fame or for money (so that other people buy their script kiddie suite). On the other hand I'd say that the attention might be a good thing so that the devs will do something about this issue, but they have been delightfully absent in all things related to the community for about a month now, so I doubt they'll be of any use.

 

Do private server owners have a method of being able to automatically ban user accounts? Is there a blacklist that they'd be willing to collaborate on and circulate around? I get the impression that my fellow Hawken players would be much more likely to do something about this issue rather than the people who actually maintain this game.
