The teamspeak will host a lonely pilot and from time to time a group gathers but warwed is officially unofficially postponed to the next update and/or if/when private servers return to US.
The best way to bump into others is to visit the TS, check #hawkenscrim irc, or see if you recognize any names on Shadeness' server browser.
Pubstomping is a whole different strategic discussion, however, and usually just becomes an exploration of the ethics of dumpstering randos.

Heroku is the only way to find something resembling a game these days. Is the TPG league dead (for the same reasons) too?

TPG season 3 was followed by a couple one-shot events. Unofficially waiting on The Update™ for season 4, I suppose.
